Great Beginnings Taylors Lakes

My daughter has been attending this centre for over a year now and must I say this centre has come along way. The staff are caring, nurturing and have a genuine love for the children. New Management have been wonderful, friendly and have implemented theme days, sport classes every alternate Wednesday’s, purchased new equipment and toys for the children as well as introduced bunny rabbits and reptiles into the centre.As a result of this my daughter looks forward to her few days at childcare!

The best decision my husband and I made was choosing Great Beginnings Taylors Lakes for our boys. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional, welcoming, competent, dedicated and nurturing team. Every day I bring my boys to Great Beginnings, I leave reassured that my children are in the safest hands.My boys are thriving, since starting at Great Beginnings. My older boy is starting school next year and the kinder teacher is doing an absolutely amazing job in preparing the children for Foundation. The amount of time, dedication and effort the kinder teacher puts in each day is clear to see through the activities and discussions I have with my son. I am a primary teacher and I am confident in knowing that my son will be well prepared for transition into primary.My younger boy, who entered Great Beginnings with limited speech, is thriving in his language and his confidence. He adores his educators and every educator knows his likes, his dislikes and his love for weet-bix and dinosaurs :)What more do parents want than to see a smile on their childrens’ faces??!!! We see this every day after their day at child care and we owe our thanks and gratitude to all the team at Great Beginnings Taylors Lakes!

I absolutely adore the staff at this centre, they are warm caring and I feel so comfortable and at ease leaving my boys in their care! I’m moving a bit further out but will continue to keep them at GB Taylor’s Lakes … everyone has became like family and I always look forward to my little chats and laughs with the staff . Definitely recommend

Made the move from another childcare when the centre opened and haven't looked back. My daughter is well cared for; staff are friendly and engaging. Centre is clean and toys are of high quality. There is a very skilled cook that prepares all the nutritious meals for the children (and parents sometimes!). I feel the environment is open and welcoming.

My 3yo son Carlos has recently started attending this Center and we are so delighted with the service. The staff are so caring and genuinely enjoy engaging with him. They are always smiling and greet us with a warm welcome. The Center managers Tessa & Anushka each deserve a gold medal for the way their staff & Center are managed. Carlos also loves this Center and they have lots of toys, books and equipment & a large outdoor play area for the kids. Their app is fantastic too. We get daily live updates, via the app, of what he’s doing, eating and pictures/videos too. Both my wife & I work full time and it is such a relief to know our boy is happy, safe & well cared for. This Center deserves a 5 star rating.

If I had to summarize my experience I would say that this centre is extremely incompetent, unprofessional and lack primary skills/care in care-taking. They do not listen to parent requests and don't care about children's routines. Their attitude is very poor and educators need to be retained. Do not send your children here, I took my kids out after 3 days of repeating myself and they don't listen and will lie to you about the children's experiences while under their care. This was my experience and upon speaking to head office and the department of education, my experience is similar to other parents at this centre. Steer away from Great Beginnings in Taylors Lakes, there are lovely centres in this area, though this one isn't capable of taking care of your beautiful kids.

My children have been attending Great Beginnings Taylors Lakes centre since 2019 and we have been very happy with the care and education they have been provided.The centre has changed dramatically in the time our family has been a part of the community. They have continually improved, and are constantly searching for new ways to enhance their programs. The educators have genuine care and support for the children, and the manager has a clear passion for ensuring the service meets it's highest standards. Our children love the friends they have made, feel very connected to the educators, and enjoy the programs/meals/activities that the service engages them in.Also, the outdoor area for the big kids is just incredible! It is massive and filled with so many fun activities and obstacles for the children!!

If you want a babysitter they are good as the center is Clean, New and chef on site was serving delicious food but its not for growth and development. Dont expect art work brought home, ABC or numbers, playground is built for 1yrs olds not for 2yrsplus no swings only 1 baby plastic slide not big enough for older toddlers, no potty or toilet training, no kinder program ( they will sell it to you as they do) unfortunately im yet to see anything in place as my son is now 3 5. He started at the center at approx 18month staff were great however 90% staff changed and center has gone down hill , very disappointing as i invested the early years there and now coming to the early learning stages there is no growth and staff have let the center down. They will not acknowledge your concerns or needs and simply palm it off to the next person , your lucky to catch someone at the front desk and your even luckier if they know your name. They call it play based learning but i feel they have misunderstood the concept. Dont rely on them to get your child ready for school years.

The center is well stocked with all kind of toys, entertaining as well as educational. I like the fact that there are very few plastic toys. The staff is friendly and attentive to children’s needs. Center manager Kelly is approachable and always there to lend a hand so is assistant manager Simone. Brad,The chef on site is wonderful and the food is amazing too. Overall a great center to have started in the vicinity. Highly recommend it!

My two children have been attending Great Beginnings, for the last 2 years.It was always a good clean centre and I would say It's only been in the last year that I feel the centre has finally found their footing since their opening and it's surprising because it was all through the COVID restrictions that I was able to see the hard work they put in to helping the parents understand policies/procedures and ongoing information about all the COVID stuff as well as meeting the needs of the children.During the ongoing restrictions and to current days, the Manager Gurdeep has been nothing short of amazing, in regards to notifying myself on anything that has been happening in the centre and the information on what is being implemented within the centre.I believe she has managed that centre so well and the team seem to finally feel comfortable in their roles within their designated rooms.Gurdeep, the team you have created, the positive vibe that the centre now has, brings a smile to both my kids and me.
