I have been working with Steve for almost 2.5 years now and he is the one person I always remember gratefully when I'm on holidays, climbing mountains, doing cycling, running on a beach or just having a solid immune system that does not breakdown everytime I go overseas! Steve is an awesome trainer - he has a very well balanced approach to personal training that he tailors it to his clients needs. To top it all, Steve is supportive, not intimidating! He has helped me move more efficiently, add functional muscle-mass and just make everyday life fit enough to lead an active lifestyle. Highly recommend Barefoot Health to anyone just starting their health journey or anybody that just needs that extra boost. Through this course I learnt so much more about nutrition and I lost fat and gained muscle which I didn’t think was possible just from simply eating the right things. In just over 5 weeks I have already seen an improvement to my energy levels, my skin, sleep and performance at the gym. Steve knows his stuff and I really appreciate his guidance and enthusiasm.

Two years ago Steve mentioned his training was a great way to maintain mobility and fitness, so at 57 years of age I got down to the gym and made a start. It was sensational!! The training from the start just absolutely hit the mark. It had cardio, strength training, gymnastics, rope climbing, full body exercises - a huge variety! I work in the construction field in a very active job and the strength, flexibility and fitness improvements have helped hugely - as well as just having more energy for life in general. Steve's calm yet demanding approach has pushed me to achieve results well beyond my expectations - and there's plenty more to achieve yet. Doing two training sessions a week and hanging out for each session! Not something I expected to be doing at 59. This is a long term thing and loving it!I would recommend this to anyone who would like to get some energy, flexibility and strength back that they might have lost - at any age!

I have worked with Steve for 3 months in London and I must say my experience has been fantastic. The reason I chose Steve was his holistic approach to nutrition and his focus on developing long lasting healthy habits rather than an immediate focus on weight loss – which eventually happened with time. Steve supported in the development of weekly plans with delicious recipes, followed by fortnightly face to face check ins and revamping of the plan as needed. Having suffered from unregulated eating patterns, anxiety and stress, Steve took his time to mould the plan to my requirements. He was more than happy to adapt the plan to my needs during stress and as and when needed. Also, advised on how I can continue the plan even when on a holiday to Greece. His approach to nutrition has changed my outlook towards eating and how we can’t pause our life to build healthy habits. It is not a diet we follow but a fresh outlook towards life. I think my most successful achievement with Steve has been is waking up at 6 in the morning, understanding my cortisol levels, recovering from binging and how to manage food intake post cross fit sessions.Thanks Steve for building a foundation towards a healthy lifecycle for me.

I have been training with Steve for 3 years. I only became interested in fitness when I turned 30. I had no motivation other than wanting to try something new. I was the nerdy kid in school who was always picked last in PE and came last by a mile in races, but now at 34 I am in the fittest condition of my life. Working out with Steve is constantly fun, challenging and confidence building. He provides a lot of variety in exercises and I am constantly learning new moves. We cover strength, conditioning, gymnastics, cardio and core. Whenever I have moments of self-doubt, I try to remind myself that I went from being the most unfit person in PE to now being able to deadlift more than my body weight, thanks to Steve.I chose Steve because I was looking for a trainer who shared the same nutrition and wellness philosophy as me. There are trainers at franchise gyms who still preach low fat, brown bread and calorie counting like it's 1995 but I knew that was not right for me. Steve's workouts are also a lot more efficient than the ones that gym trainers have given me in the past, meaning that I get the same level of workout in less time.Steve is no dumb jock either. He is intellectually curious and we always have good chats about life, docos and the arts.
