I'd agree with many of the recent reviews both here and elsewhere; Ford Mackay (River City Motors) really seem to want to create positive relationships with their customers. This is different to my experiences in the past. Matt, the new service manager, is prepared to listen to your concerns (if any) and come up with a proposal that will make you happy with the result, IF your concern is valid. So much better than in the past when there was not this level of customer support and commitment.

*ignore the name*I went there 2 months back to buy a new Ford Mustang. I was met with arrogance & lack of interest from the sales person. The only person I found friendly was the woman behind the counter.I ended up leaving & buying my mustang elsewhere the same day.Maybe Mackay Ford should pull their heads out their arses.

I went into Mackay City for the look at a new vehicle options when I was met by Josh. We discussed my needs and went on a test drive. I was not expecting to buy a car that day but the team were fantastic and found exactly what I wanted. When I went in to take delivery on my vehicle Steph and Josh explained all the features and gadgets on my vehicle! Safe to say I'm loving my new Focus!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My Ford Fiesta’s dash completely conked so I gave Mackay Ford a call and they said to bring it straight in. I arrived half an hour later than expected because I had to pull over twice (80km/hr rd with nothing to tell me what speed I was going was scarier than I thought) and then got told I would have to wait “weeks” until they had a spare spot for me. Ended up driving my unroadworthy car down the road to Hansen’s and they took it in then and there.

absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with my ranger,was a 2 week wait to get in and after having my car for 7 hours and charging over $600 for a service was told they never had the parts to fix the safety recall,nothing was said when the vehicle was dropped off only once they done a so called major service this place is a joke.

This business will astound you. There is no situation they can’t handle poorly, right down to the small things like calling you back when they say they will.Now maybe I’m in no position to leave a one star review as I don’t know much about cars or running a business. However, I get the distinct impression that neither do they.Most of the people I had to deal with were nice enough... but the whole experience has been like pulling teeth and not worth the trouble.

Ford has been amazing. Cant fault them had issues with my car got my car in that day excellent!. Im going through some hardship at the moment and they stuck to the same quote even though it cost double to fix. Im so incredibly greatful and not to mention Samantha is so lovely. 100% recommend.

The worst dealer experience I have ever had on having my new Rangers 15,000 km service. Pre booked the service 3 weeks prior for an early s,tart and explained we were travelling so would be waiting for the 2 hr service time To cut a long story short through service teams lies and incompetence, got the veh back at 2.30pm after arriving at 8am. Written complaint to the service manager, who didn't give a toss. Never deal with these morons.
