Recommend. Good coffee. My wife thought it the best she had had on this trip.Old fashioned decor, a feel like an old style milk bar.We didn't try any of the food so can't comment on that.The man who served is was very particular about clarifying our order so no possibility of getting our order wrong.

We ordered a chicken burger, lamb biryani (Spicy) and chicken biryani from here. All the food was perfect and absolutely delicious. Additionally, coffee was pretty good too. Only drawback I would say was that the EFTPOS machine didn’t accept my American Express card. But the owner said they normally do but were facing an error from their bank. Overall very good and five starts well deserved!

I’ve eaten here a few times now. Also, I’ve ordered takeaway from their burger/sandwich and curry menus. The prices are affordable, making it an easy option when I feel like a good, easy and inexpensive meal. The cafe is a casual and easy going place for good coffee, a HUGE menu, made to order takeaway meals (or you can dine in), decent sized servings and importantly for a rural town... good value. The people who own or run the Duck Inn are really friendly and the last few times I went, they remembered my coffee and breakfast order from previous times I’d been there.

It's great to find an Indian take away in Smithton. The taste is great, the price is reasonable, the portion of the curry is good, but the roti and rice portion can be a bit bigger. The naan is more like chapati. It seems very popular as they still have many customers pass 8pm, although they meant to close at that time.

A MUST VISIT! We got takeaway tonight and it was amazing! The chicken burger was SO well seasoned as was the hamburger. The kids were super happy with their nuggets and chips. We will definitely be back next time we're in Smithton!

Biryani doesn't taste like biryani. It tastes like pickle rice. It just tastes like plain rice mixed with powder.
