Such a hidden gem! The place isn't marked on the road. So follow Google Maps' instructions and park on the road. The place in about 200 metres from the road. Road to the falls isn't all solid. A lot of rocks and mud on the road. Although we didn't have a 4WD but managed to get there fine.We got there around 11am and stayed until 2pm. Fortunately for us it was only our family and no one else at the spot. The water was extremely cold even though it was a warm 32 degrees day. You just need to take the plunge. There is a rope tied onto a tree near the water fall which can be used as a swing to jump into the pond. I suppose if you want to be adventurous, you could jump from the top of the falls into the pond. Although I wouldn't recommend it due to the shallow depth of water. We were at the venue with our young boys, both of whom had a lot of fun. There is a bench at the venue for sitting down. However, there are no public toilets and accessibility to get down to the falls isn't the best.Overall, an amazing place, fresh flowing water. We didn't come across any leeches of fishes in the pond. Although I wouldn't discount them out.

We visited early morning when there was no one else around..it was so peaceful and the rope swing was so much fun! (Thankyou to whoever put it there!) There were some leeches and my daughter saw an eel but they won't hurt you. This was the highlight of my short stay in the area, followed by a cuppa at the ambient Hannam Vale cafe where the owner was so friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Great coffee and cakes too!

Pretty hidden waterfall with beautiful pond. Path to the fall is unmarked, but you can hear the sound of the fall from parking. It’s a few meters down from the parking.Road to the waterfall from Hannam Vale is bit rough and have pot holes. Our 2WD made the journey. But 4WD would be better.Waterfall is small height but it’s pond is good for swimming. Water was real cold ☺️. A picnic table is available. But the sand banks also good to setup picnic area. You can go to the both crown and base of the waterfall.

What a great trip out here! Not very signposted and water is i-c-e-y but well worth it for everyone to do ‘something different’. Put Waitui Falls into Google maps and it should get you there ok (although no phone service when you are there). Road out can be done in any car, but it is mostly gravel type roads so if you are worried about a clean car getting dusty - it will do (but totally worth it). There is a tree that has the wording ‘Waitui Falls’ on it and you’ll be able to hear the sound of the waterfall to know you are at the right spot. Park car and walk down about 100m or so (rocky, not a smooth path). Table and chair is there but no other amenities such as toilets, etc. Watch out for the large lizards which may surprise you on the pathway :/ it’s an experience to do for sure! I would go back.

Water was low when I went but we had the place to ourselves for a while. Lovely to walk down further.

Great little waterfall. It was a bit crowded on the day we visited. The drive in is a mix of tar and dirt roads.Roads are ok for a 2 wheel drive, we took our nissan Micra and it handle it well. The water is fresh and clean.Care should be taken uf your a waterfall jumper as it is not all that deep.

Beautiful spot, great for families too, can get there in a 2wd but probably best in a 4wd, Also, can get a little crowded due to being a popular spot.
