Tink's - Rutherford

The sales staff were very helpful and took the time to talk me through several options until they found exactly what suited my requirements and at a brilliant price.

Left my Greenfield wood chipper at this location a few weeks back, I rang after one week to check on the progress, was told that turnaround is usually two weeks. Heard nothing after two weeks so rang again, was told that turnaround is usually two and a half to three weeks, I had enough with the stalling and lying so I told them that I would be in today to pick it up. Was then told that they would have to contact Islington store to have it bought over to Rutherford, not once was I told that it was to be taken to Islington for repair, I was told that the repairs were going to be carried in store at Rutherford. I rang Islington store myself and spoke to Troy who informed that the chipper would be looked at possibly at the end of the week. This would have been a turnaround of well over three weeks, feeling frustrated and sick of the run around I told Troy to have the chipper delivered back to Rutherford, when I told him of my dealings with the Rutherford store staff he was extremely apologetic.The website for Tinks Rutherford clearly states that Islington and Rutherford stores both have fully equipped workshops to carry out all repairs, I left my chipper in good faith with a local business to have it repaired, I was mislead by staff on more than one occasion.If only I had taken the time to scrutinise the reviews on this webpage, having read them I would never have taken my chipper to this place of business.

Been here twice and will never go back. I buy all my chainsaw and mower equipment elsewhere. Rude, arrogant, not interested in helping you, well maybe they would if you were looking to spend a few thousand but they are just not interested in selling you parts or helping you out.

No point explaining a big story the owners rebuttals are just as pathetic as his service and lies. Wish i read the reviews before using this horrible place. ***READ THE REVIEWS*** it's all true.

The worst of the worst for service. If I had anyone else I could go to locally for what I needed I would. Just shelled out near $200 for a deck belt - I thought that was expensive, turns out I bought two. A great investment in a couple of years when the belt needs replacing again....EDIT: per the owners response below & per convo with you guys - will be dropping it back in for you on the weekend.

The boys from Stihl shop Rutherford sorted me out great new Toro MX5050. Great price and delivered. Very helpful with my decision and showing me through.

The store currently has no mechanics at all (apparently) and our zero turn was sent to Newcastle. They replaced parts that we specifically asked not to be replaced and had to wait 1 month for our ride on to return in the middle of winter!!!!!! who knows how long this wait time will increase in the height of summer. There is no need for sarcasm in your reply, we have a lot of long grass to cut for hazard reduction.

Found staff condescending rude abrupt and not very helpful. They send texts in the same vain. Am about to buy a petrol hedger will be buying at Raymond terrace.

absolutely pathetic service i dropped my leaf blower off with a simple problem with the pull start mechanism that im sure they would come accross regularly it was with them for 2 weeks before i called to check on how it was going the man i spoke to told me the part was not here yet and could not even tell me the warranty period of the blower it selfi than called back a week after that and spoke to a different guy that told me the part was still no closer to arriving which to me sounds funny for such a common parti than called back a week after this and they proceeded to tell me that they were having some problems and the part had not even been ordered???????? like come on seriously and he told me he would get ontop of ita week went past and still i heard nothing so i call back again and the same thing puts me on hold to check where the part is and than tells me the part is still no closer to arriving by this stage im getting a little frustrated the guy than tells me he will get the part over nighted ?????????? are you kidding me why was this not done in the first placeso 4 days after this i get a msg saying that its ready so i go pick it up and the guy tells me to be a bit gentler with the pull start like it was my fault this happend ive been using equipment like this all my life and have never had any problems before ???????this place is an absolute joke the stafe are rude and the service is terrible i will never again take anything to them or recommend them to anyone ever again from now on im going to go to Raymond terrace sthilsthil you are a great company how can you let these type of people destroy your good name?

Great mechanic but that's as far as it goes.Front of shop staff rude and arrogant and as a contractor I have spent thousands of dollars at this shop in the last few months alone.Wont be using this shop agian unfortunately.Thanks for the response maybe you should have spoken to your mechanic first and he may have told you that I have had nothing but poor service from day one.very rarely an acknowledgement that you even had entered the store.I told the Mechanic about how I felt about the attitude of the front counter staff and out of frustration asked him directly if he was able to help me.I know for a fact this is the feelings of many contractors that have used this shop.Irrelevant what I said to the mechanic doesn't change the issue with how the staff at the front treat the custermers.Like other reviews are saying it's a front end problemAlso I tried ringing the previous owner of the store months ago and I didn't even get a response, you may have noticed I gave the New Castle store a great review.
