World-Class experience !!It was like stepping back in time, to the 1800’s, into a charming home, ready for us to relax into.The back courtyard with the fire pit was the best thing for family bonding, and bringing the garden into the home, with vases full of flowers and plant life was a gorgeous touch.World class touches everywhere with fresh bread & ham, with butter and jam too waiting for us to start our holiday.Thank you Fleur and your team!The Bootmakers Cottage is an outstanding family memory for us

Loved staying at Birregurra Tea House, beautiful country location with plenty of vintage/antique stores on offer and amazing local produce, the snug cottage itself features beautiful antiques which compliment the history of the building. The perfect weekend getaway location for the family, with a cosy lounge room fire roaring its perfect for the winters months! Highly recommend.

Craig + Olivia (Melbourne)Our relaxed perfect wedding!After searching for venues that allow you to control the entire process (no specific vendors, suppliers, etc) we came across the Birre Tea House on Dufflebird. Our first viewing was during the Birregurra Festival. We knew as soon as we walked in that this was the space for us. Mal (the owner) greeted us with a glass of wine and took us on a tour of the accomodation and the property. The layout and inviting courtyard space was aligned with our vision for our wedding day. The accomodation within the tea house is exceptional. Very well styled and with everything you could possibly need. We had our wedding ceremony and reception out in the courtyard behind the Tea House. The enclosed and intimate feeling within the courtyard was perfect for our 100 guests. Minimal set up was required with the only major instalment being some festoon lighting from Wren Creative Events. We sourced flowers as decoration from a local florist Birregurra Wildflowers which utilised the in season" local native flowers for all our decorative flowers

A great venue in birregurra !The courtyard out back is set out so well for functions, from the stage" to the "stables bar".Plenty of room for guests. And even out the back further for impromptu camping..."

Wonderful place full of charm. Great location on the Main Street and the entertaining area out the back is great. Highly recommend for a country break.

As a family with 3 generations plus dog to boot (pun intended) we stayed in Bootmakers Cottage over the summer holiday period and everybody enjoyed it. There was plenty of space, all the facilities you could ask for in a holiday home and the history and decor of the property is absolutely charming. Great coffee and food is also only a few steps away from the front door! We would love to re-visit.

We were very fortunate to be the first customers to stay at the Birregurra tea house.Right from the first moment of booking, even up to now, we felt so warmly welcomed by this awesome Husband / wife team. Fleur went out of her way to ensure we had clear instructions for everything and were on the same page regarding all Info, and I can’t thank her enough. Now the Tea House. It was gorgeous! Immaculate inside, with a gorgeous Victorian inspired feel that brought me back to my childhood days of townhouse living. The area was spacious yet homely, and every last detail down to the warmth of the lighting and storage containers for when you have left overs, from washing liquid for the laundry to insect repellent every last little thing was so well thought out! There was enough room to comfortably fit my family of 7 and enough crockery / cutlery / glassware to not run out and need to be constantly doing dishes which is something we so frequently find being a larger family. The back of the property has a beautiful bar area and courtyard that we took advantage of and sat around the fire pit watching the stars. Location wise, it was aPerfect mix of accessibility to the Great ocean road and the Otways as well as quiet country charm away from all the Xmas travellers. Within an hour we were at our various destinations, and yet after a big day of travelling around loved coming back to the serenity of this lovely home away from home. As for Birregurra itself, I had no idea it was so accessible distance wise to us Melbourne folk. It’s no more than 20 mins outside of Colac, Geelong side, and yet felt so far away from the hustle and bustle of city life we could have been hours away from metropolitan Melbourne. The town is beautiful and although small has everything you need should you forget it in your packing. The place is beautiful and the energy beautiful too. We will definitely be returning!!!!

Attention to detail is the best thing about this place.

Beautifully restored house with the heritage really celebrated. The kidsloved exploring the back yard (which is huge) and house.Very well stocked both in the small kitchen and with additional towels which is rare to see!The quality of the bedding and decor made it even more comfortable.Also having games available in the kids room was fantastic. Really comfortable if you have kids joining.Would certainly stay again.
