I have been using First Stop Mechanical for many years, first to service and repair a Daihatsu Terios and in the past couple of years to service a Subaru XV. Damian and his lovely wife run a great business and I have full confidence that all their work is carried out to the highest standard. Damian does not do anything that is not needed and his charges are very reasonable. His services are all written up in the handbook and he uses only the best consumables. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. Don’t let the old building and faded roller doors fool you. Good old fashioned service. I have used some big company’s to service car and I had second thoughts to weather they carried out any work. First stop had issues resolved and went that extra step.

I have been told by numerous people that these are the best mechanics in town. However every single time I call they are at least a month booked in advance or they're not even open. Closed for long periods of time. Maybe employing more mechanics would help the business. Just a suggestion.

This is a genuinely friendly and helpful workshop - something I had never come across before. I visited them without a booking regarding a MAF sensor issue, and although Damian looked busy, he did his absolute best to try to help me on the spot without sending me away and making me book the car in. I guess I know where I will be servicing my cars from now on.

So grateful to have found the most genuine and reliable mechanic. Being a young female I have been absolutely taken for a ride by mechanics in the past. Damien and his family have always charged me a fair price, gone above and beyond with service and care. They're the hidden gem in all of Cairns and deserve more than 5 stars. Thanks guys!

Will be taking all our vehicles to this guy from now on. After the debacle that was Northside Mechanical ripping us off and two others who left us hanging (is it really that hard to reply to emails/texts or calls?) Damian is great, straight forward and you know exactly what is going on. Awesome!
