Nightcap at Barkly Hotel

Rude customer service from male Barman or whoever he is and isn’t the first time. Then his refusal for me to rebook (after payment has been taken out mind you!) because of his accusation against me. Isn’t my first stay BUT WILL BE MY LAST!! And room not serviced, reused sheets/linen, no bathmat, someone else’s washer over shower, vanity got dried spit and splash marks, disgusting!!

No microwave oven :(

Grubby motel.Return from work each day to find my room card didn’t work.Room full of dust.A/C unit was broken.Internet connection is extremely slow and not worth using.Without internet - the Smart TV is actually a dumb TV.

Rooms a good. Great pub food. Will definitely stay again when passing through

The rooms are renovated but the pub is bloody gross. The photos make it look nice but it’s a dive. Didn’t feel safe enough to eat there so avoided after check in.The photos make the place look really nice but when we checked in on a Monday night there was a crazy guy left to walk around and hassle guests as they checked in, and it generally just didn’t feel like a safe place to be. People walking around outside in the dark, don’t know why they were loitering.The rooms were nice. Renovated old building. I would rate the place higher but the photos give an unrealistic expectation. It’s false advertising. Two USB ports per single bed in the twin room. Aircon was quiet and cooled the place down nicely.

Pleasantly surprised! Might not look it from the outside, but it has been fully renovated on the inside. Great stay!
