Barkingham Palace Boarding Kennels

Lovely place dogs are all so well looked after when I come to pick my girl up she looked so happy and like she didn't want to leave thanks for looking after her so well x

From the moment we arrived with our two dogs (papillons), we were greeted by a very lovely, punctual lady who straight away explained the daily routine of each of the dogs staying at the kennels, ie. exercise routine, feeding, handling, personality etc. to give us an idea of how our dogs would spend their long weekend.The outside play area for the dogs is shady, covered with native trees and heavily planted with other trees, very very clean, huge and plenty of space to run around and have fun. There are smaller exercise yards for separation of dogs that may not want to interact/socialise or may just want to relax and not be bothered by younger dogs.The pens the dogs stay in are a home away from home. There is a room for them with a bed and chair set up so they feel they are still at home which opens out onto an enclosed run. The rooms were very very tidy and clean, no smells and very hygenic. We were very impressed.We were made to feel comfortable ourselves asking questions, having a good look around and were not pushed out the door in a hurry. We felt very confident leaving our dogs here for the first time and a quick phone call the next day to confirm they had settled in was not a problem.Pick up was exactly the same. Dogs were not stressed when we arrived, happy to see us but wanting to go and play again and run around the yard.I can highly recommend this kennel and have booked my two in again as we were over the moon with this kennel, set up and service. Our expectations were more than met and have no hesitation in recommending this kennel.It may be a little distance from neighbouring townships but well worth the drive for peace of mind, caring staff and great quality" of service. The drive in itself is very enjoyable and worth it!"

Barkingham Palace offers so much more than just a ‘stay’ for your precious pups. The accommodation is thoughtfully and professionally laid out with individual and dual rooms, beds, bedding even heaters for those chilly nights. Each separate area has its own race as well as a beautiful communal area with plenty of fresh air, interesting exercise obstacles and shade as well as spectacular views. The whole place is scrupulously clean and extremely well run. Arlene, the owner, is so calm, caring and compassionate and is genuinely lovely. She is just what a ‘helicopter’ pet owner like myself needs in order to be able to feel confident that my ‘fur babies’ are getting the absolute best of care and attention. I highly recommend Barkingham Palace for the very best of care for your dogs, mine have thrived there and knowing this has given me great peace of mind, so that I can enjoy my holidays.

We use Barkingham whenever we go away. Arlene is very accommodating and goes the extra step. Arlene really cares about the dogs and makes sure they are happy and feel safe.
