Annette and I were so impressed by the facilities and gardens that Tess and Graham have created in this wonderful remote location. Bordering winter we were made so welcome and comfortable, with fires burning in every building. Dinner was superb, more akin to a 5 star restaurant, as was the hospitality from our hosts. Highly recommend Paynes Hut for a getaway or function.

I stayed there overnight as a last minute booking. Tess and Graham were fantastic. They were ready to cook me dinner on my arrival; dinner was fantastic!The location is beautiful and the accommodation was very comfortable. I will be back, but next time for 4 or 5 days.Tess and Graham are well up for a good chat which was great as i was travelling on my own. They gave me good insight to the history of the area and what to see and do on my return.

This would have to be the most amazing place to go. Graham and Tess are the true definition of hospitality. A place to go, relax, unwind and just to enjoy. A must for anyone to go to.

My wife, daughter and I stayed with Tess and Graham in February 2019. They could not have been more welcoming and accommodating, it is not the easiest sometimes with a curious 16 month old running around! The food was magnificent, the gardens were beautiful and we will most certainly be back. I would highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat away from it all, a walk through the gardens and a couple of beautiful home cooked meals will put everything into perspective! Thanks again Tess and Graham, Joe, Shereen and Annabel.

Payne's Hut
We stayed at Paynes Hut just prior to Christmas 2020 and have fallen in love with the place. Tess and Graham are incredibly accomodating, hospitable hosts whose meals and company are well beyond what we expected. The accomodation has been handcrafted and we slept more deeply in two nights than we had in years. We plan on coming back with family and friends as soon as time permits!

Tess and Graham have built the most beautiful B&B I've ever been to. Its located after one of the most scenic drives where we were greeted with 5 star accommodation, food and hospitality. On the property we found ourselves surrounded by beautiful gardens showing Tess love for gardening and Grahams unique hand crafted building style. As a couple they bring together a unique getaway experience, second to none.

A beautiful quiet sanctuary that helps recharge your batteries. Tess and Grahame are wonderful, thoughtful, entertaining, knowledgeable and passionate about cooking, living, understanding their environment and leaving as little an imprint on nature as much as they can.

Some places are old and ratty and advertise themselves as rustic". Not this place! Its the most beautifully done
