Incredibly happy living in my new home built with First Home Buyers Direct!!They really live up to their values with a professional, courteous service throughout the process, and all the help you could ask for!I got to choose from a great range of designs with the flexibility to adapt the designs to suit my needs. The inclusions are great quality and the optional upgrades are good value too.Couldn't have asked for a better builder (especially after the troubles I had with others).

Our experience was great from the initial meeting with our Senior Consultant to handing over with our construction manager.They had a online portal with live updates of where our build was at in the progress with pictures, making it super easy and transparent from start to finish.One of the internal door handles became a little loose 5 weeks after we moved in, sent an email and it was fixed within 24 hours.Definitely would recommend.We went to several building companies and compared the prices + specification, they gave a better price and the service was excellent.

When my partner and I first started our home-building journey, we quickly found ourselves overwhelmed with different builders and their perks and packages. It was by chance that we came across a design we liked from FHBD, and were put in contact with Nathan Whennen.From our first meeting with him, we both felt entirely at ease with the process we were about to undertake, and knew we had found our builder. Being first-time builders, Nathan took the time to very clearly lay out the process of building our home, and what we would realistically be able to achieve. Instead of trying to push our budget up to higher than we were comfortable with, he listened to our needs and found us a perfect design, tailored to our needs and within our somewhat modest budget.He has since then, always been available and on-call to answer any queries we've had, and has been more than happy to liase with different people, be it brokers or land agents, in order to make our building journey as seamless and stress free as possible.Even after our direct dealing with him had come to an end, Nathan has taken the time to contact us directly to see how our build is progressing. Finding someone who is genuinely invested in seeing his clients build through to the end, and making sure they are happy each step of the way is a fantastic feeling.Nathan is truly a stand-up bloke, and without his guidance and expertise, im not sure whether we would have had the confidence and patience to go ahead with our build. I could not recommend him and his services highly enough.

Nathan has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole duration of building my home. I'm so happy with his service and professionalism, he definitely exceeded my expectation as a first home buyers consultant. I would definitely recommend him!

Had the most appalling experience with FHBD. From barely any communication regarding our build, being stuffed around by them for a year and a half. Tried to make us illegally obtain a $30000 deposit from the bank which would have put us in serious debt, to us now cancelling because we cannot afford to have this extra debt being that we are only young. They have taken our deposit and charged us an extra $1300 on top of it.We were passed around to numerous different sales reps without being communicated. FHBD tricked us into signing the contract without even having our finance approved, no discussion whatsoever was had about cancellation fees.I am disgusted and with this being our first experience, it has given us some serious fears with building in the future. Overall extremely unprofessional and genuinely uncaring towards people’s circumstances.

Update 16 Sept.After reaching out to me I have been a lot happier with the proactiveness of FHBD in trying to bring works forward to get me in the house earlier. Especially since getting some of the works I had personally organised required a bit of organising from FHBD's side as the site still hadn't been handed over. They've really tried to come to the table to make things better which I appreciate.-----------------Have been disappointed by the lack of accountability and communication. Granted, the last year has been busy for builders but to not even be able to reach out to your clients and keep them up to date? Its been disappointing to say the least. This is expected when the site supervisor has 50 other builds to look after (his words), so don’t expect someone to be looking after you full time if you choose to build with FHBD, at least at its current state. Only thing that hasn't been a let down was a fairly easy and enjoyable design and pre start process but it has gone downhill from there. Hoping communication becomes a lot better, as I cant even look to lock in dates to get the interior painting and aircon works done due to FHBD not answering the phone or responding to emails.

We want to give a massive shoutout to Nathan at First Home Buyers Direct.As First Home buyers, we walked into this completely blind and nervous. Nathan looked after us from first point of contact to finish.Although our finance fell through in the end, he has stood by us through and through. Gone above and beyond and has always been on standby for after hours communication, taking us to look at land after hours etc. He is a realist and kept us informed every step of the way.We are gutted that our finance fell through but so grateful for the top level respect and honesty from Nathan. We really appreciate his help and support.We will be back, just for Nathan in the future to try our luck again and will be referring our friends and family to Nathan especially.Thanks Nathan, keep on keeping on. I had Nathan Whennan as my Sales consultant who is absolutely brilliant! I was doubtful I could get a house and had thought that the process was going to be overwhelming but Nathan had assured my doubts and was there throughout the process from the start to the very end when the house was finished. Any concerns I had I would call him he was always available and he had always assisted and helped when I needed.Recommend Nathan for his personal and fantastic service and he is a great person entirely, he is certainly in the right job !

Me and my partner are currently at roof cover stage with first home buyers direct and we are over the moon with the time frame of works and the professional manner off all involved so far, we first met with a guy called Nathan who sat us down and told us our options and really helped us through the whole process so far, he also gave us a good push to make sure we got our first home owners grant and the current government grants which I feel shows he cares for his clients as much as the builder. I would highly recommend using first home buyers direct because the process from sitting down at a table with Nathan to pre start with a lady called Amanda and now the build is well on the way has been very easy so far.I would highly recommend
