Last week we went for a short holiday at lake maquire and we were looking for a nice Indian restaurant for family dinner which offer halal food. I looked up and this restaurant was the closest from our cottage so I called and booked a table for us as they confirmed me they offer halal food. The restaurant decoration was very interesting and quite rustic. They also had some old Indian music playing which was just perfect for that dinner evening. All the food we order was so fresh and delicious the restaurant owner service and behaviour was very generous and friendly he even gave us 2 complimentary kulfi. As first we order 2 and it was so good we asked for 2 more and they gave the kulfi complimentary. Must try the Pistachio kulfi. Their samosa chat was so great. We also tried their chef specials handi goat curry and butter chicken absolutely delicious and huge portions compared to many Indian restaurants in Sydney. And lastly butter nan and plain nan was so fresh and soft and huge in size. Our whole family loved the food and their service. 10/10

Would probably give them 4.5 out of 5. We usually go to punjabeez which is better but they were shut. We have been here a few times when they just opened and the food was not as good as it was verrry oily among other concerns. However this time the food was very tasty and we were quite happy with it. The staff are friendly and the prices are good. They once even gave us an extra curry because they mixed up our order which was nice. Good to have two good Indian places in morisset.

Indeed delicacies abound - a wide range of mild/med/hot dishes with authentic traditional flavours. Understated and something the south end of a Lake Macquarie should be proud of. Try the lamb cutlet entree, or any of the chefs specials. Delicious. And the mango lassi is a good thick and sustaining favourite.

Tonight was the second time our family have been to this restaurant (and once for takeaway). Both times the food has been excellent, the flavour amazing. The staff listened to our requests for mild, and that is what we received (for our meal choices - 4 meals, naan and coconut rice). Good sized meals and acceptable prices. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Beautiful curry. Only drop a star as I ordered 2 of the same dish, one hot one mild, my partner got the hot one by mistake. Ouch. Please mark the hot one next time as my cousin is oblivious to heat. Great food though.Dropped another star last night. Service was ordinary. Placed an order, server double checked what we wanted and then delivered dishes we hadn't ordered plus it was very slow. 7 of us ate, some of us were finished before others got their meal. Curries are delicious, but I suggest getting takeaway as this was the excuse last night very busy with takeaways". Perhaps you should pay more attention to customers who come to dine and spend 250 bucks."

Delicacy of India is another welcome vegan option in the Morisset area. The service was fantastic, especially from the lady who served us, Keri. I very much appreciated that the vegan options on the menu were clearly marked, and this is a big plus over the competition in the area. For the main, I ordered the Aloo gobi which was presented very well, in addition to being very delicious and being a decent serving size for the money. Overall, at was a great experience and I highly recommend trying Delicacy of India out!

Might’ve just been an understaffed night but guests could've been advised there would be a wait on the food prior to being seated. First time here, read the reviews and booked a table for 3 at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Arrived and there's about 25 other people seated in the venue. Had to ask for menus from wait staff, only 2 staff serving food/taking orders on the floor.Didn't get orders taken until about 7pm, same for the 2 other people that arrived when we did. Unfortunately, mains took almost 1hr to arrive (4 mains). Staff only came to take entree plates off our table. Service was quite slow - I understand quality food takes time, but when you've got 3 tables who have not received their food and are are waiting 40+ mins, how can one be satisfied? The younger girl (with the long hair) who brought our mains out wasn't friendly, very dull voice, and no apology for the long wait, just food placed on our table and walked off. Roti was cold, burnt and bland. Beef biryani was so dry, curries (lentil dahl, aloo gobi, chicken masala) was pleasant so have given stars for that. Male staff member approached our table at the end to apologise for the wait on food and offered us a dessert. This place has potential to be very nice but the service on our visit was very poor and has let us down.

Really good food and even better service. The wait staff are very friendly, prompt and professional. My waiter was on point, he juggled multiple tables effortlessly. The food was spot on and as many other reviewers have noted, this is one of the few Indian restaurants that actually bring attention to vegan and vegetarian dishes, including substitutions to the menu by swapping cream for coconut cream. The location is beautiful. Solid decor throughout, lots of stone and wood.Highly recommended.

Service was on point. Very curtious. Meal was exceptional. Very mild and satisfying. Quiet dinner date for 2 on a Thursday night. We were, however, the only 2 in the restaurant. Although there seemed to be alot of take aways while we were there. We were approached during our meal and by the chef after our meal to insure everything was fine. We will definitely be going back. Great local restaurant that isn't your typical take aways.
