A Bridal Affair

Went into A Bridal Affair on Saturday without an appointment Debbie greeted us warmly on the Saturday said to have a look around and try on if I wish. Found some dresses that I liked and promptly booked an appointment for the Sunday. Debbie again greeted us warmly at the door allowing us to browse through the dresses picking 5 to try and dress number 1 was the dress. We entertained trying the others on however kept going back to the first one. Tried it back on and said yes to the first dress and the first store we went into.Thank yo so much Debbie for making it such a wholesome experience.

I would like to say a big thank you to two beautiful ladies at A Bridal Affair Chermside. My cousin and I (both in our eighties)who got lost on Sunday morning with no mobile or map came to the only shop open in the group of shops. They used their phone and worked out where we had to go and directed us to our destination. We were not buying a dress, but couldn’t have been helped more. Thank you both.

This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and as overwhelming as I’m sure I can be for most brides, the consultant allowed my bridesmaid and I to wonder and choose some dresses at our own pace, making the experience much more enjoyable. She gave welcomed advice and even added veils with the dresses, giving the full bridal experience

Brides to be please avoid A Bridal Affair.Arrived to my appointment and was hardly greeted, they also did not check us in for our booking, nothing! I was asked once and very briefly what style, I had a few but only got the first description out and was told 'they are over there' and the young lady walked away. I walked around with my family and saw a few I liked but all in size 4-8 I asked if they had other sizes for me to try on and was told no 'we can order them in, you can try these sizes on...' i'm at 12-14 how did the expect a 4- 8 to fit or allow me the chance to see what the dress would look like on me for my wedding? The young lady proceeded to say 'just leave it undone and you can get an idea'... love they were not fitting over my head or thighs. The whole experience left us uncomfortable, my family had travelled up from NSW for this day and it was a waste of our time. I was able to try 3 on close to my size but nothing like the style I wanted, I was left humiliated and embarrassed and decided to leave and go back to the first store where we treated wonderfully and celebrated for shopping for a wedding dress, like you should be. A bridal Affair did not make us comfortable nor really care we were there. There was zero interest in what we were looking for other that one question, nothing about when the wedding was, theme, style nothing. It was not until I decided to leave did they then care enough to leave the desk and say something on our way out. Appalling service for a bride to be. After going to a few bridal shops around Brisbane with my daughter we decided to visited Bridal Affair. And what a marvellous idea that was. From the time we walked in the door we felt welcome even though they were busy with other customers time was made to assist us. Debbie was extremely helpful and gave us her full attention helping to point out styles that would suit my daughter. She tried on a few but didn’t make her final decision that day as she wanted to check out other stores but she definitely came across a dress that she loved and suited her. About 2 weeks later after seeing what else is out there and really not receiving the service she experienced from Debbie we returned to retry the dress she thought would be the one. And yes she said “Yes” to the dress. The dress arrived a couple of months later and looks wonderful and Debbie has given us names and numbers of the professional dressmakers that can shorten and slightly alter the dress to fit perfect in a few months time - she told us brides tend to change size slightly close to their wedding. This is truely a wonderful experience and Debbie is a wealth of knowledge and an assets to the business. Thank you. We really appreciate your efforts Debbie to make my daughters wedding dress a special one thus making her wedding day less stressful and hopefully perfect.

The perfect place to start your dress hunt!I started my search here and ended up falling in love with one of the gowns! Debbie was so lovely in explaining all the details, from the styles to even what would look best in our venue! Debbie even did the impossible to get my dress here on time. I could not recommend A Bridal Affair more!!

I cannot say enough about Debbie at Bridal Affair. She made a real difference in me deciding to purchase a wedding dress for my special day on the very first visit to this store. I got a beautiful dress for a very great price.Debbie is a very lovely and personable lady who made my Mother and I feel very welcome and comfortable. Wow, what an amazing experience.
