Julie is professional, punctual and has a great taste in styling. She had gone the extra mile to make the whole process of styling my home so much easier. Our Owners Corporation Committee identified the interior common property areas were in need of a facelift from our 1990's colours.To avoid the often indecisiveness of 'design by committee', MontCaire Interiors was invited to 'understand our wants', namely colours and carpet upgrades.It was through Julie Godfrey's listening, experience in interior design and interpreting our 'wants', that Julie presented a Brief meeting our requirements.Thankfully Julie gave us extras in her Brief, suggesting other previously not thought of areas such as light fittings, floor tiling, foyer feature-wall and wall hanging suggestions, as well as 'maybe consider the external look'.All were taken up with some variations.Julie's negotiations with the necessary Trades were professional, developed achievable time-lines and expectations.Thank you Julie and MontClaire Interiors for contemporising our building from 'drab to fab'.

I love the way Julie is able to configure an interior room by working with colours, soft furnishings, period design to fit a space. Working with Julie from MontClaire Interiors was a really easy and fabulous experience. It was our first time using an interior designer and I would recommend it - and her - to anyone. She guided us through each stage, was keen and happy for our input but always came back with that something more that made all the areas in our new home look amazing. She led the design and construction of a new WIR and significantly expanded ensuite (within the walls of our house, which reduced the need for permits and cut time to delivery in more than half) and the team of contractors she works with got the job done quite quickly, especially given the fact most people face huge delays for any kind of construction work these days. Julie also recommended new layouts, and sourced furniture, wall, window and floor coverings, and lighting for our living room, dining room, fireplace nook, and family room. She recommended quality Australian craftsmen and we are really happy with all of it. For anyone worried about the cost of hiring an interior designer, we found that Julie's fee was more than offset by the discounts she was able to get for some items by sourcing directly through the manufacturers versus paying full retail. Our brief to Julie was simple: make this place feel like ours and we want people who come in to have a wow moment. She delivered on both. Highly recommend.
