Southern Highlands Community Transport - Wingecarribee

I had Community Transport pickup my husband for a doctors appointment last Friday. The driver Kevin arrived nearly 30 minutes early and then was not happy that my husband wasn't ready. He was very rude and didn't want to help my husband in his wheelchair. He said he had a b ad back. Why is he doing this job?? When I called the office in Mittagong I spoke to a lovely lady and explained what happened and she said she would pass on the information. Then a woman called me and said she was the manager. She was the rudest person in memory. Screaming and yelling and wouldn't let me speak. She said that they might not pick up my husband from his appointment. I was so worried how he would get home and when they were 30 minutes late picking him up I was nearly ready to call the police. We have used Community Transport for many years and have never had a problem. This woman Should Not be working in any capacity in the Disability Services. To have such an outrageous reaction was not normal.

I called the company because my neighbour was waiting for the Bus or Car to come. I was with them a while ago with NDIS. They are Dearer than the Cabs. And only give you certain times with them for medical Appointments. I also had a friend that volunteered there. no longer volunteers there. Has paid work now.

Phoned last Thursday and left a voicemail for someone to call. Nothing heard. Phoned again today (Friday), no answer after 5 minutes not even able to leave a voicemail.

I used this service this morning for the first time as my usual transport wasn’t available.I was picked up for my appointment on time by a charming attentive gentleman who waited an hour to bring me home, Thank you all very much for this excellent service .
