Gail and Kiara at Hair It Is are very experienced and professional hairdressers with high professional standards.I have been coming to the salon for many years now.My hair is thick and difficult to cut and Gail does an excellent job every time and listens to my preferences, and gives solid advice.

Jess does my hair,I followed her from another salon because she’s amazing. I drive from Kiama to Balgownie because I want my hair done by someone who cares and loves colour. The salon is so friendly and really, it’s like everyone is family. I definitely recommend Hair it is and the girls. My hair looks fantastic

This is the most fantastic salon I have ever been to. It is stylish and welcoming and the staff are really attentive and take the time to really listen and understand what you want. Carly did an absolutely fabulous job - it is by far and away the best cut and colour I have ever had. You know how you often walk out of a hairdressers slightly disappointed or not completely happy? Not here - you will be skipping out the door with delight! Could not recommend more highly!

Love attending this Salon, Gail and team are Great at making it a relaxing time, serving cuppa's, magazines etc. Then the hair style is perfect, colour/cut, maintenance explained. Impressed that they listen to what I like .

Hair it is, or hairitis as it reads, would have to be the worst salon in Wollongong. It has horrible decor that looks very much like the Paris Hilton Von Dutch era of the early 2000s, the chairs are horrible and uncomfortable, the floor looks like it should be in a mechanics workshop, and the wine glasses have lipstick on them (yes, they provide wine, which the owner partakes in whilst doing clients hair) and the owner randomly sells lipstick that the testers have no lids on, so they have hair in them. Not very hygienic!The owner is rude to her staff, constantly berating them in front of her clients, which, as you can imagine, makes for an uncomfortable experience. She rips people off by charging wildly different prices for the same services to different people. The product she uses is so heavy and horrible in your hair, as well as has a terrible fragrance.She does bad haircuts that leave people having to come back and have them fixed. I watched her colour a lady's hair who wanted ash grey and ended up royal purple, which she then had to colour correct because she doesn't take the time to do correct consultations with her clients. She always overbooks the salon so people are waiting for long periods as she is behind.So, save your hard-earned and find somewhere else. Like, anywhere else!

Such a fun salon! The gorgeous & very talented staff are always so welcoming & eager to please. Great coffee (or wine). I love getting my hair done here.

I have been having my hair done here for years, great atmosphere, large salon with lovely decor and comfortable chairs always clean and welcoming staff. Nothing is a problem and I always walk out happy with my hair and the price, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anybody.
