The Carmel, Yamba

We have stayed at The Carmel before and enjoyed it so much that we came back again. Whilst it is an older motel, is has a very real homely feel and has been renovated to have a modern, fresh, beachy vibe. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the price is right! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Loved this place. Friendly team managing the small complex, which looks like it has had a very recent makeover. All freshly painted, new carpet and new furniture in our room which was very comfy with a king bed. Pool area also nice with new furniture, and a guest bbq area with covered outdoor lounge area. We didn’t mind sharing it with the water dragon who was asleep on the couch under a cushion! Would definitely stay again.

A lovely place to stay with kids. We received a warm and friendly welcome and the room was great. Kids loved the bikes and the tennis court!

Can't wait to revisit. Staff incredibly friendly and are so helpful. Room so comfortable with all the amenities you need. The facilities are clean and the overall atmosphere at The Carmel Yamba is so enjoyable and relaxing.

Great room, very clean, crisp linen. Great lication close to town and restaurants. Only detraction was our room was closest to busy road. Recommended.

I travelled to Yamba for a working weekend with my family and stayed at the extremely well appointed and family friendly 'The Carmel'. The 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our needs, great amenities, decorated nicely and the pool and tennis court were an added bonus for our family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay, very welcoming and accommodating friendly staff. Our suite was very clean & cosy, the bed & pillow were so comfy, I would have liked to bring that pillow home! The pool was also lovely with plenty of seating & lounges surrounding it. Would highly recommend, we had the suite right on the road front hence lots of traffic noise but by the 2nd day we hardly noticed. 5 stars from us, we’ll be back.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Room very clean with iron, coffee machine, touch lamps by bed, good wardrobe space, if you have a lot of hanging gear bring more hangers. King bed very comfortable. Handy to river, ferry to Iluka, supermarket a good half hour walk away but doable, handy to town.Handy to Bowling Club or Chinese restaurant in opposite direction. Lovely bbq area with soft seats provided. Complimentary laundry. Half court tennis was good for bit of exercise. Do not be put off by outside appearance, rooms are lovely. Bathroom a bit older but a work in progress to do everything up. Hair dryer strong enough to blow your head off on full pelt, lol. Free access to pushbikes if that way inclined. Will certainly stay here again. Only downfall......2 ply loo paper, if in car, bring your own....
