Stopped by just out of curiosity. After the rains all the grass is green and the lake is full. A great rest spot if you are not hungry, all the food is along the highway.

Beautiful lake and sunset. It is a free camping site and it also has a toilet that is a normal toilet and not a compost. This is an amazing place. Would highly Recommend.

Great picnic stop and rest area fir overnight stays. Picnic tables and bbq's. Flushing toilets as well. Frisbee golf is also included.

A lovely grassy spot to relax and unwind. Plenty of places for the kids to explore. The lake is gorgeous. The kids enjoyed watching the tiny fish in the shallows and in warmer weather it looks like a great place to swim. We loved playing the disc golf course. Only downside is the noise of the trucks and trains going through the town at night.

So much better then expected. Really beautiful place. Some noise from the traffic but doesn’t ruin it. The lake was so clear (and salt water). Didn’t get time to take a dip but if we come back I will be taking my snorkel in. Check out The Davies Diary on Instagram to follow our adventures ☺️

Went here as a stop over for my travels as it’s a free campground. Was nervous because it says it’s closed after 6:30pm which is it not, it’s not gated or anything and is on the side of the road. The lake is pretty average, same as the campground that is quite small and I can imagine could get very cramped on peak seasons. The lake also has a flushing toilet and the cleanliness was pretty average for a public toilet. The toilet was not marked and was a bit confusing to find as it’s a free standing structure that looks as if it’s a storeroom.

Loved this spot! Lots of level room for multiple rigs, clean and stocked toilet, outdoor cold shower and the lake is lovely! Has a pontoon so probably safe for a paddle

Great free (donation) place to camp. The grounds and facilities are well maintained as there is a big shed there for a club. The lake is safe and warm to swim in. Deoaire being close to the highway the road noise is very minimal. Only issue we had was that the flush toilet room door did not close properly so it can't be locked.

We stopped here and relaxed. Pleasant scenery, nice walk around the lake. Good camping spots nearby.
