It was a pleasure buying our new home from Chris. Not only was the buying process quick and stress free, but after the deal was done, Chris was very accommodating in giving us access so that we could start planning for the renovations we wanted to get done. i have never felt so embarrassed and disappointed by the way i was treated by a real estate agency ever in my life.I know that the way i was treated was mainly due to the way i physically looked. as soon as we saw the agent, my partner told me our application was never going to go through. that is even before we entered the apartment.the way i was treated on the phone when we spoke was obviously different from the way we were treated when the agent saw us in person.Catherine (the agent's name) was very polite and honest with us on the phone and made us understand that, we were the only applicant interested and so therefore if we were interested and earned the right amount of money, it was a done deal. we actually went to the inspection with a copy of all our documents in our hands.I am a nurse employed in a very reputable health organisation. (UNITING), with a very impeccable rental history. i have never missed or delayed a rental payment. i have been renting since i was 18 and i am 28 this year and my partner is 26. i earn over $2000 in a fourth night and same as my partner. my house inspections has always been impeccable , no problems what so ever with any of my real estate agency from the first day i started renting.the questions i was asked made me feel like we were a criminals trying to find a place to hide from the FEDS.i submitted all documents that was required, from bank statements, payslips, passports , drivers licence all the way to even showing her my bank account on my phone on the spot during the inspection , all to prove to her that we can actually afford to pay for the property, and even with all that, we could still tell she wasn't satisfied with what she was in front of her. she would call me ask again about my income even when i had submitted current payslips of up from January. six months of payslips. she went on to tell if it was alright, she wanted to call my manager at work to make sure i earned that amount of money i claim to be earning. it was at this point that i felt violated.so i thought i would take the matter up to complain about how my application is being treated, and the supposedly manger who is to make sure issues like this do not happen had the nerves to tell me payslips can be forged. like how would i be able to forge payslips when you clearly called my work place to checked if i worked there and they confirmed with the my mode employment and contract being permanent, and my bank statements matching my payslips. if you are not confident with a documentation that is accepted and seen as a legitimate document used in Australia and most part of the world, then why ask for it then? why make me go thorough the stress of printing it out. if that does not work what about my rental ledger, which clarifies my impeccable rental history.i went through all the stress of acquiring a property that i know i am more than qualified capable of making payment for, only for them to tell me in have been rejected.my only conclusion is drawing my mind back to what my partner said, soon as she saw the agent's face reaction when she realized that the person on the phone who spoke very proper and sounded white Australian happens to be of an African origin. i have come across so many anti black treatments in Australia, but this tops them all.i have never felt so excluded in the 25 years i have been in Australia the way i felt on the 24/07/2020 and has made me lost all respect i had for North Shore Savills.

Steer clear. As tenants, we had a terrible experience with Savills. They were not honest at the open home, and are very lazy property managers. They could not even be bothered releasing our bond on time. They never call back when contacted. Worst experience we've had after renting for 10 years.
