I like the idea of the Venla business model but unfortunately my experience was disappointing and Venla's customer service woeful. Below my feedback to Venla and their responses.Response times: Venla failed to reply to 3 emails from me without a follow up email. Despite their automated email advising me to put my rack on sale in the final days of my rental and to email them with that instruction, they 'missed' the email and I lost 1.5 days of sale opportunity.From Venla: As per our email to you we are sorry that your email was not actioned–we have stressed with staff the need to check and action all emails on a daily basis.NB: An email from me with a direct question POST the above apology went unanswered for 3 days until I followed it up.Sizing: I overheard one of Venla's staff telling a renter that the majority of sizes that sell in the Mosman store are small / 10. This is an important detail but is not included / offered freely in any sign up info.From Venla: It’s true that most of the items in Mosman store–as well as our other stores–tend to generally be smaller sizes. This means also that most items sold at the shops are that size. We regularly have customers looking for larger sizes and we can direct the buyers to the racks with larger sizes–though most of the time customers prefer to browse through all racks. We don’t by any means favour any sizing–it just depends on what the sellers have. We have had several sellers with sizing up to 14-16 sell quite well.NB: I sold a total of 9 items over 2 weeks (2 pairs of shoes and 1 bag, 2 items were size 12, 1 item size 14 and 3 items size L).Promo - I followed Venla on instagram and saw considerably more stories (proportionately 5:1) showcasing items and therefore generating interest for the Balmain and Bondi stores.From Venla: All our shops do insta posts as much as possible. Mosman tends to be busiest with direct selling customers in the shop, which may have been why on certain days other stores post more.Monitoring Sales: When I signed up I was told Venla would be monitoring sales and would advise on strategies/observations regarding items not selling. I was given no such feedback or advice.From Venla: Your prices were very reasonable, and your items fine. Your sales started off quite OK which is why we were not alerted. We contact customers with very slow sales when we notice that either prices are too high or there is something of concern with the items.NB: As above I sold just 9 items out of 45 - Venla did not offer a range of what is considered 'slow' sales but I sold 5 items in week 1 and 4 in week 2.Lost items: Venla lost the packaging for a pair of new Shoes of Prey shoes which did not sell. Part of the joy of them is the fabulous packaging (high quality white box, shoe pouches, ribbon, branded tissue paper etc) so I included this in the display. The resell value has now been directly diminished. Whilst Venla have said 'sorry', I am massively unimpressed with their dismissal of this.From Venla: As per our terms & conditions, we will do our best to ensure that your clothes are safe with us however VENLA takes no responsibility if an item is damaged, lost or stolen or if there is a fire, water damage or other unforeseen situations.I understand there are no guarantees items will sell (even though I had good brands and some items brand new) however Venla earn 25% commission on top of the $210 rental which was not reflected in the support or customer service I received so is not something I would repeat or recommend.For perspective - I could have saved a day of identifying and accurately pricing items, 3 hrs / petrol money setting up / restocking / taking down the rack and instead sold just one high value item on ebay for the same money I earned from Venla. Ultimately I gave away $340/8 quality items for free.This is just my experience and others have evidently fared better so I write this review and share Venla's responses for information only and so that others can assess the pros and cons of this service accordingly.

VENLA resell+relove Mosman
I was so happy with my decision to book a rack at Venla Mosman. The staff were so lovely and the process was really easy. I made over $700 total profit from clothes I loved but just never wore. It was so fun tracking my sales every day via the app. I will definitely be back to sell more. Highly recommend Venla for buying or selling.

It was a lot of fun selling some of my clothes at Venla Mosman. The staff were very professional, helpful and gave great advice. I was very successful with my sales and will definitely have another rack sometime. It’s so easy and fun and you will definitely find some great things there to restock your wardrobe!!

I enjoyed putting together my rent a rack in Venla Balmain. It’s a thrill when things sell, the tracking app works well and the ability to restock as you sell is great. The lesson is keep things at sensible prices and encourage people through accessible options.

I have just sold my 4th rack and have made close to $6000! This is a great concept for people wanting to sell excess clothing that no longer serves a purpose for you. I have bought many items myself - beautiful clothing at a reasonable price. Much better than eBay and payment is very quick after a sale!

Took a rack to sell my clothes here. A great experience, easy, i made some good money and love that my clothes were going to someone who wants them. I have also bought a few things which were really good deals - quality items for very reasonable prices.

I support the principle of reselling clothes and was enthusiastic to move on clothes to others . The staff at Balmain were friendly. As I was unfamiliar with selling and pricing I chose the 50% commission. they decided on pricing and managed the selling. However after 60 clothes (mostly designer) were chosen, cleaned, ironed, packed , transported to Venla after the cost of the rack Amd commission I made $24.. yes not a typo.. 24$…The staff assured me the clothes were nice and appropriate and couldnt explain why not many sold.. they made a profit of $384 ($180 +$204) and I made $24..next time I will pass the clothes onto charity as I usually do, will feel better about it and a lot less trouble..

A great way to turn stored clothes into something more useful for others and making some cash along the way. The process of setting up the rack to being paid after the 2 weeks was seamless and the women in the store were so helpful and fun.
