Kiddies Dental Care

I was referred by my dentist to this place so that my son could get a filling with the help of gas or general anaesthetic. Instead of fixing the tooth, the dentist did her own examinations, found a whole bunch of other problems and charged me almost $300 for the visit. My son did not get his tooth fixed. No attempt was made at all. She then sent me a quote for almost $5000 to get it all fixed. I nearly died. So I went elsewhere and they fixed my son’s tooth. They confirmed no other work was necessary at this time. All costs were covered by Medicare so I didn’t pay a cent. I will never go back to this place. Absolute rip off. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The team here have been amazing both for treatment and preventative care. Their focus and commitment to doing the right thing by the kids is second to none and my son actually loves going. Collaborative team with very holistic, child focused approach - from assessment of tongue ties, treatment of decay, general oral development and preventative care - could not recommend Dr Chan and the team at Kiddies Dental highly enough.

The sensational days are sensational. Ms Carlee was very accomodating for our son, who was super anxious. I would recommend these kind of appointments if your child is anxious about seeing a dentist.

Just be careful with their cost, it appears they take the highest option. I was quoted $2800 each for my 4 & 5 year old to have crowns put on their teeth. They discussed general anaesthesia in a private hospital was the only way it could be done. Naturally i gained a second opinion. My children teeth were both happily fixed at my local dentist in the chair for $150 each.

Staff are actually really friendly but you have to question their business model. We took our 5yo in and it was determined that she needed a filling. Without really discussing all options they went for the most expensive option which is to book her in with a private hospital and put her under a general anaesthetic. You can imagine how anxious we were! We got a second opinion and were told this path is not necessary and that the ‘Halls technique’ would be the safest option for her tooth. We actually didn’t have to pay for this at our community based dental practice. See this establishment would never go this route as they wouldn’t make much money. This way they get to charge almost 3k for a treatment of a baby tooth! Please be wary parents, there are other alternatives that are safer and cheaper. Do you research! We almost fell for it!

Highly recommend. Always receive the best care for my children. Professional and courteous - they are a specialist centre and you pay for their expertise. With all the facilities they were able to quickly have my childs teeth sorted out and now we go for regular check ups to prevent anything cropping up. My kids actually enjoy going here.

Our family has always had exceptional care from Kiddies Dental Care. Dr Chan and the team are kind and we have received the best care. They make going to the dentist way more fun than it was when I was a child. Love that they also focus on educating my son on how to look after his teeth as he grows up. Prevention way better than problems down the track. Would highly recommend!

Best clinic I’ve ever tried, my kids were well take care of and they provided me with good insights of my children’s procedures. Very kid friendly, kind staff and an amazing experience .
