We have been here numerous times and have had excellent food and service. Unfortunately yesterday wasn't one of those. The fish was really dry and tasteless. The chips were great though. The service I got was efficient but not friendly although the lady who took over service was great with customers after me.

I had a Pizza. The base was crisp. As an experiened ex chef i dont undersatnd how it was so lacking in flavour and the ingredients bearly warmed in the centre of the Pizza itsself.

Fish was fresh and delicious, and the chips are amaaaazing (the best!). Great local place. I'm not sure what the low scores are about as it's not fine dining, but as I said great seafood in a casual environment with a great view of the boats and marina.

Coral trout was clean white delicate and delicious. Calamari was great. The young lady that served me was polite and well trained. I'm not sure what the low scores were for, this place was great.

Love it - period. 5 stars.OK, so the staff don't always smile from ear-to-ear. So what? I come for the food. I went there again today. The sales person did smile from ear-to-ear... and the food was great. The place is clean and not expensive at all.

There was nothing to like at this restaurant. The staff couldn’t answer basic questions about the fish they were selling, the oysters were brown and dry, but they claimed they were fresh since they have been shucked early in the morning, and now it was evening, the battered fish was dry, and the tables had not been properly wiped down. It was generally grubby. Ended up at another restaurant in Mackay a six minute drive away where the seafood was fresh and outstanding. Check out the seafood restaurant located in an industrial park and you won’t be disappointed. I returned the oysters to the young girl who claimed they were fresh and suggested that she eat them instead of me! Won’t be back And I hope others read this before taking time to go here.

Ordered the King Prawn Pizza - never thought they would be actual chunks of garlic thrown on it along with the barely-there small prawns. We went on Easter Saturday & understand it was busy but that’s just lazy, poor effort.

Up here on holidays and wanted a light meal for dinner close by to were we are staying. Ended up having mackerel and chips (which both were delicious) and/but The lighthouse pizza with added octopus - was one of the best pizzas I have ever had.! Loaded with ingredients, perfect crust and base. Will be going back for the pizza alone before I head home.Contrary to Dewi's comment below, the whole roasted garlic cloves on the pizza were one of the things I loved about it and, we will be doing that to our homemade pizzas from now on!

Decent place to eat around here, the fish was nice and fresh however other seafood was less impressive and tasted store bought or frozen like the calamari. The oysters looked nice and decent size however were very gritty and didn't taste good
