Wrest Point

The rooms were okay, with good views, but when we arrived, we were advised we had to make a $200 safety deposit. It was not in any of my booking information. I had already spent over $600+ on the room, yet had to fork out another $200! It's been over 2 weeks and I still have not received this money back. The hotel said they released the funds, the bank said they were still pending! $200 gone, with no explanation.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the hotel from 02/01/23 - 07/01/23 everything was marvellous. Michael who helped us with the booking was extremely obliging & helpful throughout our stay. From checking in, local advice, staff attitude , all was impeccable. We had the Harbour View Deluxe room. It was spacious with the best bed. There is an extensive pillow menu available to make your stay even more comfortable. The room was spotless for the 5 nights we stayed. All toiletries were topped every day without request. Nothing was too much trouble. The cleanliness of the hotel was so impressive. This was our second visit to the hotel & there will most definitely be a third.

It's definitely a great place to stay when visiting Tasmania. Come here for a work conference and pleasure and was great. Rooms clean. The only complaint is that the mattress was a bit soft for our liking, but other than that, everything was great. Rooms very quiet. Even next to the lift, didn't hear a thing! Staff friendly and helpful. Great views from the rooms. Food was always great downstairs at the boardwalk bistro!

Service and location was great and we loved the room upgrade too!Breakfast buffet was good and was worth the money.Although the pool and gym was a bit small, the other amenities were quite decent and the rooms were newly renovated with amazing views of the pier and of nature.

We have been staying at wrest point for a long time. But this time was so much special. I could see the place looked awesome with new renovations and bars. It was worth it. The rooms were awesome and we had booked the motor in first and upgraded to the tower later on. And special thanks to the duty manager Delmer. He made all the process so smooth. He was really helpful and experienced great customer service.

We loved staying here. It is central to everything we wanted to do. The room was clean and easily accessible. Comfortable beds. A great view. We had dinner in the Bistro and our favourite was the Birdcage cocktail lounge with live music and cocktails. We enjoyed a small flutter on the pokies one night which was fun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at Wrest Point.

We returned 45 years after our honeymoon and the place has been upgraded to the new modern hotel it deserves to be. We travel the world and this place is world class both in accommodation and services. The staff are amazing and the food is great.

Another great place on the waters edge.Not the biggest casino but with the entertainment centre attached makes for a bigger footprint.Food is amazing at the casino though and can be quite busy.Didn't need to book but I can see at times it may be necessary.

First time in Hobart, came for anniversary. Wrest Point looked good online but was even better in person. Staff were very helpful after having an initial hiccup with checking in. Sam in particular in helping sort out our room. The view of the Harbor is amazing. The best thing about the stay is the impeccable detail to cleanliness. Could not find one fault with the room. Plenty of choices for food in the hotel/casino. We had the buffet breakfast, the food was nice. The location is close to anything you’ll need around Hobart. 35 min to Bruny Island Ferry. 30 min drive to peak of Mt Wellington. Up on the peak it was nice to clearly see the hotel. Nice that it stands out quite easily!

This place was AMAZING!Spotless and so well presented. The hotel is easy to get to and is literally the tallest building in the area, it has a STUNNING VIEW and all the staff were super helpful with free parking and reasonable pricing, what more do you wantI won’t bother trying to find somewhere else to stay this was perfect.
