Richard was contracted to build a fence for my back neighbour. I shared 4m worth of that fence with them and said I was happy to pay for my share of the fence we shared. At the same time I asked Richard to quote for a fence for the side of our property that joined up with this fence, as this fence was in a state of disrepair and I wanted a uniform fence look. He provided the quote to us.After he completed the back fence in August 2022 I immediately approached him to complete the work on the side fence that he had quoted us for. I emailed him multiple times, but received no response. This was puzzling as he had been previously been responsive to enquiries. I sent multiple text messages asking why he had not responded to my emails. I received no responses to my text messages either. Again he had previously been responsive.Finally I called him and he answered. He explained that he was busy and couldn’t complete the work on the side fence for a few months. I was not in a hurry so I set his lack of communication aside and worked with him and set a date for “around Christmas time, maybe in the new year”. I asked him to call around the time and he said that he would to firm up a date for the work.Christmas and new year came and went and I received no response from Richard. I called and he said “Maybe February, yeah, is that alright”. Once again I ignored his unprofessional attitude and complete ignorance to not following through on his commitment to contact me and agreed to wait.This sequence repeated itself in February and April. When I called him in April I communicated my displeasure about being constantly forgotten about and not contacted. He said that he had recently been in contact with my neighbour regarding the fence and planned to start the next weekend. I specifically asked if he would contact me if it was not going ahead. He promised he would.Its no surprise now that it’s almost mid May and neither me or my neighbour have heard from Richard.I’m no guru on fences, but believe he did a reasonable job for the back fence at a reasonable price (I paid $770 for my 4.4m section of 1.8m high colorbond fence?). His quote for my side fence is in line with what other providers that I have recently engaged have quoted for the work.Based on this experience, I would not recommend Richard and QSS Building to anyone.Edit 29/05/2023: Just thought I would add that despite Richard publicly posting a reply to my review saying he would contact me I have not heard from him.... Which is once again no surprise.

Richard and his team are efficient and friendly. they did a good job and made terrific yard for us.

Richard and his team have done a good job with our front yard and backyard . They were professional and on time. He communicated throughout the work and the left ite clean.

Very responsible and friendly work mates, lovely to have them made my wonderful garden. Strong recommendation
