Lake Hayward
This is one of the ten lakes of Yalgorup National ParkSmall and peaceful, good to observe the nature, birds and plants.A camping table is the only facility available. No campfire allowed.

Not much to see until you sit down and stay quiet for a while. Great place to meditate.

Beautiful little secluded spot. Short gravel track from the main road to the carpark accessible by 2WD. A short walk (maybe 100m?) from the carpark takes you to the lake edge. There's no picnic tables or anything, so take your own towels/rug/chairs if you want to sit. There's also no bins anywhere, so be sure to take any rubbish back out with you.I wandered the shoreline with my camera spotting wrens & other birds. A lovely French couple swam out with snorkel gear & said it was almost cold further out where it was deeper (which would have been awesome on a hot +35⁰C day like it was that day).Bugs would probably be a problem at certain times of the year, though they weren't bad when I was there (december). There were plenty of animal tracks, including roo/wallaby & emu.Definitely going to stop by again with bathers on a hot summer day.
