Cairns Aquarium

Really good experience to see more unique flora and fauna native to North Queensland, as well as the conservation efforts of bringing back near-extinct species for wildlife reintroduction.The tube area was by far my favourite and I'm very glad I got to see so many cute sharks and stingrays!

An incredible underwater view of nature at its best. As a diver I found this experience second to none and was able to share my experiences with friends who are non divers. The staff member was very informative and even I took on some new knowlege about the fish life.

The aquarium is amazing and the staff are friendly and know a lot. It's definitely worth going to check out all the cool fish and other animals. They set it up really nicely so you can see everything from the fresh water to the deep ocean. They also want people to think about how to take care of our water and the animals living in it. When you get to touch the animals, they make sure it doesn't bother them too much. It's a good place to visit in Cairns, and it's not too expensive. Anyone can enjoy it.

We did the twilight experience. And what an experience!! Our guide was sooooo knowledgeable, and it was very obvious she LOVED her job! Followed by the Dundee Restaurant 3 course meal. The tour went for 2 hours. We just loved it! We'll be back to visit our sea friends again for sure.

Amazing. I booked in the Twilight Experience for myself and my partner. Our guide was Alyssa and she was incredible. She was passionate and answered any questions we had. We were in a small group, so the tour was well-paced, we even had access to the gift shop afterwards.The aquarium is very new, well-maintained and probably one of the best aquariums I've been to ever. I've been to the one in Canberra and Sydney, but this was my favourite. The aquarium has a keen focus on conservation and native species (to the North QLD region). The species seem happy and are all well-fed!I'd definitely recommend coming here, and especially doing the Twilight Tour, as you can grab some great photos when no one else is around.

Great place to visit for everyone (adults and kids). Well presented. Good information around. Good service on desk. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful display!! Something is categorized the great barrier reef. We can see the bottom of the ocean. Each tanks are well maintained. Also the information with displays were great. Well set out and nice flow to see the entire aquarium. This aquarium has an annex with restaurant.

I've been reading some reviews about this aquarium and many people say it's not worth it. I went there and i liked it actually. The staff are very informative, they also had a talk show about sharks and rays when i was there.I asked so many questions and they were there to answer my curiosity. I don't find it in another Aquarium that I've been to

We visited on Monday after lunch at The Med across the road. The aquarium was not crowded and we spent a leisurely 90 odd minutes looking at a varied display of aquatic life and reptiles. The missus and I thought it was quite good if you have a couple of hours to spare in town.
