Alter It Chadstone

The ladies here are more than helpful. They have tailored 9 pieces of my clothings including a formal evening dress. I am fairly impressed by their quality work. And they are all reasonably priced. Kudos to their smart work! Will recommend anyone who needs a reliable tailor in their life to give a new look on all their wardrobe!

I wanted my formal dress to be able to fit me perfectly and I went to many other alterations places who said it either impossible or very difficult to alter it. However when I took it to Alter it Chadstone, Yan not only fixed the dress very quickly, but she also altered the dress to perfection. Having my dream dress made my night much more special. I would highly recommend Yan at Alter it Chadstone.

Best seamstress in town. If you want to get your expensive dresses altered without a fear, go to her. She understands your requirements and will do a fabulous job. They are prices are not cheap but well worth the price. Highly recommend them.

I have to say, Alter It Chadstone is my go to alteration place. Not only are they amazingly professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and precise; but they are also quick and reliable for any and all alterations you'd need while shopping at Chadstone.I have had a dress altered to perfection, whilst my husband had his suit pants fixed up beautifully. Whilst we did not get our service same day, I witnessed other customers come in to get same day service for a fair price, and to the same standard as us who had ours done over a few days/a week.Definitely will be returning to get more clothes altered to get that perfect fit, be it everyday casual wear to the dressiest of outfits.

I had a zip mishap just before leaving for my brother’s engagement party. Called alter it and the lady advised they only have staff who can do the repair until 5:30pm even though they were open until 7pm. I told them I’ll get there in 10 minutes and once I was there I couldn’t find a parking. Called alter it again and the lady was happy to come and take the outfit from me from the car. By the time I parked and went inside they had already removed the old broken zip. Got me to try the outfit to make sure the fit was alright and then suggested a better way to put on the new zip and take it all the way to the top instead of how it was before. The lady told me it will make it easy for me to put on the outfit and take it off.Charges were $50 and the lady showed me that she wasn’t charging me extra for express service which some other places do. To be honest I was happy to have found someone last minute who could fix my outfit for me.Their service was very very prompt and I am happy with the work they did.

Despite having multiple alteration shops in Chadstone shopping centre and others that are closer to home, I would only bring my items here to get altered and so does the whole family now. Aunty Yan is professional, highly skilled and simply knows what she's doing. She doesn't hesitate to pick out the flaws in the fitting and offers solutions to make you feel more confident in what you're wearing. I trust her with all my expensive garments and I just let her work her magic. Her work is always exceptional with a fast turn around. Highly recommended!

Great little alteration shop near the financial banks outside of Chadstone. The ladies here are very thorough and did a great job taking in the waist on two pairs of denim. The jeans looked great once they were done, however on one of the pairs, the back wasn’t completely flat and needed a second round of alterations (which the lady was happy to do). When I wore them the next day though, I noticed two identical holes on the sides of the jeans (mid thigh). I brought them back in and the lady apologised and triple stitched them. Haven’t had any issues so far. The prices aren’t advertised anywhere though, so when she said each pair were $59 to take in the waist I was a bit shocked. I paid it anyway and I’m happy with the jeans, however this seems like a very pricey alteration and I may look for other shops near me.

Yan was great with her work. She explained her reasoning behind each alteration and was up front if an alteration would possibly not look as good as expected. Overall her work and professionalism was amazing.
