Excellent park. Really good info centre with helpful staff. The circuit walk to shadow lake is strenuous but scenic and well worth doing. Take a dip when you get there.

Lake St Clair National Park
This is a beautiful national park and maybe we got it on the wrong week because it rained all week. The easy walks are Watersmeet and Platypus bay. The Shadow lake walk is strenuous and not well marked so you don’t know how much longer you have left to get to the lake. The staff at the visitor centre are helpful but I do wish they would mark this trail a bit more.

We were told we’d have a room to ourselves, later on someone else turned up. Fridge didn’t work in room 3, table lamp flickered on and off, massive amounts of mould on shower curtains. Could go on but I suggest you stay elsewhere!!

I’ve been here a few times, good weather definitely makes a difference.When it’s rainy, you miss out on seeing the neighbouring mountains.
