An absolutely beautiful “oasis” to walk through & enjoy. Just beautiful & a place to enjoy nature.

Well with a visit and even better with a volunteer guide or the Waite Arboretum app. A joy in any season and you'd never believe you were in the busy city. A haven for birds and butterflies too.

It was gorgeous, with many types of native trees and wildlife to see. I even caught an echidna napping under my car

When you need to be among the trees and the birds, the Waite Arboretum is the perfect place to go. Not far from the city, beautiful plants, creatures and sculptures; this place is a suburban treasure. My toddler loves it too!

Waite Arboretum
Beautiful place with a large number of different trees and plants, and has different sections with different types of trees (section with native plants, sections with oaks and other European trees, conifers section and the palm and cycad section). Also has nice gardens near Urrbrae house and there's also a Waite conservation park near brown hill for bushwalks.

I have been walking around these gardens every time I visit Adelaide during the last 20 years. It is such a beautiful quiet spot in the heart of Adelaide. There are so many amazing varieties of plants and trees from around the world with many being planted at the turn of the century. There is a dam and a little water hole where you can feed the ducks. #letsguide #botanicalgarden #localhotspot #bushwalk #adelaide

I've once had it described to me as being like 'Winnie the Pooh's forest' - maybe not as nice as that but still nice to have a wander around on a nice sunny day

This is a beautiful space in the suburbs of Adelaide. Peaceful & very interesting. We did a guided walk (1st Sunday of each month), with a very knowledgeable & passionate guide.

I love looking at the big house and seeing the pretty gardens and the labyrinth. The house isn't open on weekends and typically the place is very quiet. It is beautiful, but I would love to go inside the house and be able to be able to get a cup of tea and a scone here.

Waite Arboretum was established in 1928 as a park or garden for the enjoyment of the public. The Arboretum contains trees and shrubs from around the world all growing under natural rainfall. The Urrbrae House, Twentieth century rose garden and Waite Arboretum Maze are also worth visiting. The Arboreeum is open daily ,dawn till dusk , free of charge. There is a gravel ground parking lot in the Arboretum.
