Opal Inn Hotel Motel Caravan Park
The room has NO hot water for shower like others said and NO microwave in motel room. Reception always unattended. Reception is closing earlier than before @ 6pm and the woman of reception on Monday did check-out was very rude to me as always. She was telling me to bar me from staying in Opal Inn. She should NOT work in motel service industry even with her bad manner and being rude to customers. She will NOT give me her name. I also don't know where I can complaint about her manner even I was local. Opal Inn was SOLD to another listing Company on stick market I heard.

Caravan park dismal n badly needs an upgrade. The toilets/showers were old but kept clean. Laundry had 1 working machine, other 3 were out of order. No recycle bins. No dog poo bags either. Water machine not working and no water points in park for caravans. Staff in reception nice. Park handy for walkinginto town. Several sites completely waterlogged post rain!

Opal Inn Hotel Motel Caravan Park
As an overnight stop when travelling between Adelaide and Alice Springs (or vice versa) I've stayed at the Opal Inn a number of times. It's clean and comfy enough. You can pretty much always park your car right outside your room which is good for unpacking/packing and security.The rooms have some wear and tear but they're clean, the beds are comfortable, there's good aircon and decent hot water and flow in the shower. Really what more could you ask for especially as the rates generally provide some of the best value for money in Coober Pedy.I'll keep staying there when I do the Alice Springs to Adelaide road trip :)

When checking in explained I had tent but required power to car receptionist allowed me to go check out the camp sites to see which if any were suitable for a tent yes site 1 has enough soil/dirt for pegs to secure tent also has a tree which supplied shade. Facilities where code locked where clean and maintained. Staff for checking was friendly and professional. Plenty of options for staying. Good location close to sites.

We overnight stayed here twice to and from our Darwin to Adelaide road trip. Spacious comfortable rooms with the convenience of the restaurant and tavern within the same premises.

Disappointing. The camp bbq was covered with 5mm of dust. My sullage pit was blocked. We had a powered site and set up the van only to realise there was no water at the site. You had to fill your water tanks near the entrance.

The place was ok but the pup next doors is very bad we get in for dinner me and my wife take a sit by ourselves waiting for the waiter to come take our order but nothing he keep going up and down infront of us but nothing not even a hi or I will be with you in a minute nothing waiting for 20 minutes nothing he serve the person next to us but no eyes contact to us so me an my decide to leave we make our way to the door still he doesn't make a move our disappointment or concern is that people don't like Indians people or black people so bad for 2023

Very OLD an run down rooms, wouldn't stay there again. Stains on carpet an bedding. Didn't want to put my head on the pillow incase something came out.Got mobbed out the front by the locals as the rooms are set near the local pub an drive through bottle shop.Definitely stay somewhere else.

If you need a bowl of spaghetti bolognese just after the kitchen is closed, cooked with love and haste by one of the greatest outback cooks of all time, then look no further. The chef had somewhere to be, but he went the big lift. He saw two weary, hungry boys and he wasn’t knocking off until they were satisfied.What he lacked in hot plates, he made up for with a complimentary garlic bread.He truely is the shiniest opal in this god forsaken place.
