Horizon Pools

We have recently had a pool installed by Horizon. At first I felt them to be very attentive, however as the process and installation commenced I felt very rushed and- kind of like now they had secured our deposit we were just a number. The initial quote blew way out when they hit our sewer - which I have naively assumed that they would have done a search for during the planning stages. Communication became very poor to non- existant. There have been some times since where I have had a question about this or that - yet emails have gone unanswered - or answered weeks later. Pools are expensive - and something that needs careful consideration and communication. I would not recommend this company .

It was a great experience building our first ever pool. So happy with the quality, professionalism and responsiveness from Horizon Pools. Being a first timer, had plenty of queries regarding installation and maintenance but Catherine at Horizon pools always helpful in providing valuable information and always approachable. Catherine was very friendly, professional and helpful who made sure our pool installed on time as requested. Don’t waste your time. My pool has bowed inwards and was just installed poorly, was leaking within 12 months of installation and they Won’t acknowledge fault.Absolutely disgusting. They take your money give your warranty’s. What’s the point of all that when they won’t exercise it when it’s needed. Look at other pool builders.

Some people say that buying a pool is a painful experience. In fact I know a few friends who had nothing but trouble and, in some cases, are still waiting for completion. Well, if you want a seamless experience from start to finish get onto the team (and I do mean TEAM) at Horizon Pools. In our experience, day one to handover went like clockwork thanks to both parties co-operating with each other. (Translated, this means they turned up and did what they committed to do on time and I paid the progress payments accordingly).If you're prepared to work on the same basis, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Horizon Pools to anyone who wants to deal with a business that cares.

The most professional and amazing business I have dealt with in along time, it took 2 weeks from site excavation to the finished job and my site was always keeped clean. From the ladies in the office to all the workers that came to site they were polite and had outstanding communication. Had our pool installed for about a year now and extremely happy with the result. Office and construction staff were all professional and helpful the whole way though the process and always kept up to date even during Melbournes continual lockdowns.

Very poor and a money minded company, I got my pool installed nearly 2 years ago, still have not received a final handover. They ask for more money than the initial quote giving reasons that your soil had clay or other things in it even after they did a soil test first. They did not do the earthing at my house for the pool and refused to pick up the dirt from outside my house so we entered into a debate and hence I am still waiting for a final hand over. The owner will call you only when he needs money and then stop answering your calls. Would never recommend anyone to hire them for a pool installation.

My experience with Horizon was good for the most part. We did hit some unexpected costs along the journey. A week out from implementation we were told our excavation would need to be over excavated due to soil type so that was disappointing as it was months after contract. We did have a cave - in and that was an additional charge. Also, if you hit rock be prepared for extra costs but I can understand that one. In conclusion , albeit the costs were 13% over the contract price due to all of the above we are happy with the build. After the implementation I haven't once received any follow up calls , so I feel that should be improved to check in with customers to see how their costly purchase is going - would be nice!!
