Great Meal Great ServiceI was travelling through Bairnsdale Friday evening & I felt like a steak , I said to a local at Fuel stop , where do I get a good steak he said get around off main street to Terminus if you can get a seat.I called in and explained I was in a hurry the asian waitress said no tables but if you will put up with in betting? room I think it was we can bring it out, I said yes I want a steak & I will go bar she said I will get both you stay at table she got drink put in my oreder kitchen & brought eftpos to me, best steak I have had for ages & she was super efficient & friendly

We come and have a weekly bar meal here regularly... its much quicker than any take away and always delicious!! Would highly recommend. Great service, beer is always cold and beautiful food

Just finished a meal at the Terminus Hotel in Bairnsdale. The service , meal and staff are exemplary. Very friendly staff. Know their food and drinks menu well. Service is constant and always with a smile. The meal was generous and tasty . Many thanks to the staff at the NRMA caravan Park for the recommendation.

Food was great. 15 of us turned up unannounced and the staff were super accommodating. Food was all served together. 500g t bone from specials menu was fantastic.

I am hesitant not to leave a lower review, but as the maître d'hôtel assured me the poor service we received was one off I have decided to leave them a 4 star review.We did not stay at the hotel, we ate at the bistro. There is a decent selection of local wines, which are decently priced- however the cocktails are a little pricey for the quality.The staff seemed to have a communication error, which ultimately affected the enjoyment of our evening. To begin with we were sat by the window which was lovely, afterwards we were greeted but the maître d’hôtel and she took us through the specials. At her suggestion we ordered an entree each and they were delicious! She had an excellent memory and knowledge of the local ingredients.However, half way through our entrees our mains were bought to the table. There wasn’t any room on the table and we were rushed to finish our entrees to make room. When I asked why they were bought out so soon the waiter offered to put them under lights- this don’t sound appealing as the food would no longer be fresh. We had them placed on our table, unfortunately we were also directly under an ac vent and as we finished our entrees the mains became cold.Neither of us enjoyed our mains, the mashed potato was like a slab of cold potato and the ribs became congealed and inedible. I was very disappointed and didn’t understand as to why they were bought out so quickly, ultimately our food was inedible and were left feeling rushed and uncomfortable.To compensate for this and the communication error with the kitchen and front of house we were offered to have some of drinks taken off our bill. Whilst this was appreciated, it didn’t make up for the overall disappointment of feeling rushed and cold food. I’d like to thank the maître d’hôtel for her service and wonderful advice, as well as her gracious efforts to amend the service.I feel this meal would’ve been absolutely amazing and will indeed give it another chance.

The Grand Terminus Hotel Bairnsdale
The building is beautiful and the service was exceptional and super friendly. We went for the specials ordering the mushroom risotto and the sirloin steak. The food was superb and couldn't be happier, an overall fantastic pub meal. Great value and a lovely country pub experience! Highly recommended if you're coming through Bairnsdale.

We stayed in the King Apartment and absolutely loved our stay. The new rooms are brilliant, very clean, well maintained, all cups, plates and cutlery were modern, classy and added a great touch to the room. Access to the balcony really sets the mood as it’s nothing better than unwinding and taking in the fresh air. On the Balcony terrace area the establishment supplies a BBQ which is available for patrons to use.The complex has a lot to offer, perfect location within the township and other activities like fishing and hiking. Beautifully maintained, clean rooms, modern and a comfortable bed then look no further.Management and staff should be very proud! We will be repeat customers
