G4 Guitar Schools

I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far at G4 Guitar Schools Penrith. Peter has a wealth of knowledge on guitar playing and music theory which I’ve found insightful and helpful on my journey to picking up the guitar again after many years of not playing. He has been very encouraging in his teaching method as well as showing patience with those areas that I’ve found difficult, often offering great tips on different approaches to learning.The G4 method to guitar playing is practical and very easy to manage from a learning and time point of view. There is a lot of structure to the in-class lessons as well as what you have to practice at home - which I find helps to keep you on track but also note your own progress. Plus you can do so much with just a minimum twenty minutes practice a day if that’s all your day permits. It encourages any length of practice time so long as you stick to the program.I was amazed after my first two weeks on how much I was able to remember and pick up but most importantly my vast improvement. I felt a lot of pride in myself and it’s rekindled my love for the instrument and music which I found was buried under managing everything else in a busy life. After now learning G4 for two months I’m really noticing a natural flow and comfortableness to my playing, and it’s made me really happy to have decided to revisit guitar as a hobby. Thank you for adding me to your student roster!I highly recommend this school for anyone thinking about picking up the guitar no matter what age or experience. You’ll love it and you’ll also feel like you’re part of a great music loving community!

I have been learning guitar at G4 Penrith for 3 and half years and enjoyed it thoroughly. I have enjoyed learning with Peter and have learnt a lot at a fast-constant pace. I wanted to catch up to my older brothers who have been playing for several years longer. Peter has helped me achieve this and I have almost reached their level. I am very close to one of my brothers, but the other one (the oldest) is just amazing. It will take a few more years to get to his level of skill. But with Peters help I believe I will get there. I have had a combination of one on one lessons, and group lessons with my brothers and other students. This has been a great experience to learn with others, and learning to play music in a group, which is an important skill that is usually missed by other music teachers. This has enabled me to have the confidence and experience to perform and lead in school bands while also having the choice to perform solo if I choose. I have enjoyed learning with Peter. He has made lessons a lot of fun and I have learnt a lot. I highly recommend him.

My grandson has been going to G4 Guitar School for the past year. We find Peter to be a professional and fun teacher. Peter has boosted his confidence and made guitar something he looks forward to going to each week. Would highly recommend G4 Guitar school.

I have returned after a 8 month period from lessons as i had struggled initially with grasping the concept and my work commitments Peter was always encouraging and supportive so when i made the decision to return back again Peter made this transition very easy for me , for some reason it is all starting to click and come together and that has a lot to do with how Peter individualizes his teaching per person even though we end up in groups. I will always continue to push on with the lessons as i appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, individual care and constant encouragement he gives and will always promote G4 purely from Peters enthusiasm and continued encouragement, Not to mention how wonderfully it makes me feel when it comes together!

My three boys have been going to G4 guitar school Penrith for many years. Peter is the current owner and teacher and he has been amazingly supportive and helpful. G4 Penrith caters to any age and any level of playing with a structured program and graded classes. All three boys are very proficient now, and regularly perform at school events, in bands etc.Peter and G4 Penrith get my most enthusiastic recommendation.

My daughter has been attending lessons at G4 with her teacher Peter for a number of years now. Peter came along as a new owner of an established business which I can image is not easy. He has to his credit achieved great success and this is very much down to him being extremely talented in his knowledge of guitar and also his ability to connect with his students. He is very passionate about playing and is extremely good at assisting students to be self motivated. I highly recommend people go to G4 in Penrith no matter what skill level Peter will make you better and ensure great enjoyment playing the guitar

What a great way to learn how to play! My son has been learning guitar for just over a year and I am more than happy with his progress. The G4 method along with the fun learning environment that Peter provides makes for excellent results.

The G4 guitar method provides a well structured and comprehensive training system which teaches the student, young or not so young!, not just how to play and copy songs like many establishments but gives the fundamental knowledge and building blocks of how to play a guitar and associated music theory. The course handouts are excellent and the reward system is definitely motivating! Couple all of that with the knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and support from Pete and you won’t find a better guitar training package anywhere. I can not recommend G4 Guitar School Penrith and Pete enough.

I have been at G4 guitar school Penrith for around 6 years. I have had two previous teachers who were very friendly and great teachers, and learnt different skills, and styles of playing from each teacher. Every guitarist has their own preferences, tips and tricks and it’s great to have learnt from each of them. My third teacher is Peter, who is the current owner. He has been exceptional. Peter is patient, kind and organised. I have continued to learn and develop my guitar skills with Peter and refine my guitar playing. Despite the length I have been learning guitar, there’s always room to improve and Peter finds those weakness and helps develop those skills. Unlike a lot of teachers, there is a structured but fun course, balancing technical work and songs, building up essential skills so you can truly learn guitar to the point where you can choose a song of your choice, grab the sheet music and start learning it. Not only have I learnt through the G4 course, but Peter has helped me learn for school performances including my HSC performance, which went amazingly. Peter was very accommodating and even made extra lessons to help me prepare for my final HSC performance. Whenever Peter is sick he doesn’t make a hassle and rebooks a catch-up lesson or offers a refund (unlike some teachers outside G4 guitar school).Peter is so friendly, approachable, and helpful and I strongly recommend anyone from any age being a kindergarten child or an adult, whether you have never played before, and want to learn, or are experienced but looking for a new teacher, or even if you have played before and are looking to get back into guitar (lots of adults) Peter will teach you and adapts his style to your age and experience and I can strongly recommend him.
