Certainly retains the old school pub feeling. My wife and I dropped in for a meal. The food was well priced, very edible and great value for money. The staff were friendly and conscientious. If you’re looking to rage or looking for fine food this may not be your option. Otherwise great value for money.

Had a splendid time here. We were unfortunately locked out in the beer garden but there's few places I'd rather be stranded.

Really personable basrstaff. The air con is blasting and the beer is cold and cheap. Excellent little stop in for my trip into town. The atmosphere is cheery, the premises are clean. It's very cosy, but still open, you don't get that very often. It's just a really nice pub.

I had dinner with three friends at Gossips last night. The food was basic pub food but good. What was really impressive was that one friend said that her steak (scotch fillet) was a bit tough. I had rump and it was nice and tender. and they fully refunded the cost of her meal. When asked how her meal was my friend said her steak was a bit tough and they fully refunded her the cost of her meal. Now that is not something you hear or see of these days. I will be going back for sure. Great service!

Great T bone steak and lamb cutlets, and inspirational to see how this hotel has reestablished itself after devestating floods just a year ago.

Totally enjoyed my dining experience here. My meal consisted of steak, chips and salad. The steak was juicy and tender, the salad was lovely and fresh, and the chips were probably the best I've ever eaten, topped with a delicious gravy. Would eat there all the time, if money wasn't an issue !

The beer garden is a must visit. Phenomenal water feature and palm trees. The weeds don’t take away from the aura. The fact that we were locked out doesn’t deter me from the fact that it is absolutely stunning.

24/11/22Friendly staff. Limited range of the normal mainstream beers on tap. The lamb cutlets are delicious. Excellent cutlet, cooked to perfection with a touch of blushing and super crunchy crumb which I thought was a bit thick so had taken one side of the crumb off, but by the time I'd finished my beer I'd snacked down the offending crumb. It was delicious on its own with what tasted like a slight mint flavour. Crisp chips and the statutory lettuce, carrot and tomato salad.2/12/22Had to go back today because the cutlets were so good. Invited my son and grandson. The cutlets were absolutely spot on again. The works burger my grandson ordered was delicious and the same quality as the cutlets. Unfortunately the rump steak and chips fell very short of the mark. The t-bone was cooked to perfection as ordered but was as tough as an old boot even though it was rare. We noticed the table next next to us had a t-bone pretty much left on it when we arrived and wondered why. Obviously they weren't happy with it either. It's a shame when things like that happen because it's the bad news people will spread the quickest.
