We really enjoyed our time with Doug & Tracy. It was a unique and educational experience where we had an opportunity to taste various fresh bush food directly from the trees! They are authentic, knowledgeable and very passionate about preserving elements of Australian culture. Recommend to try this if you seek authenticity and enjoy fresh native superfood.

Such a beautiful location and essential concept. I recently attended their long table evening, where a three course meal was served under the clear sky and bright stars. The food was excellent, and the menu designed to showcase the native products they produce on the farm and sell from their shop. I’ve since returned and completed a tour with a group of kids, who were excited to forage for bush tucker and learn about traditional Aboriginal ways of doing things. Their jams and relishes are to die for! I’ll be back to restock when I’m out.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I have had the pleasure of attending a Native foods farm tour and their Bushfood Under the Stars banquet and highly recommend both. Doug and Tracey are extremely welcoming and both possess a wealth of knowledge that is invaluable. Also their jams, sauces, and salt rub have been a massive hit with my family and I will be returning to restock!

Took our family of 6 and did the farm tour and morning tea, It was a great experience and was made special by welcome to country and the smoking ceremony, Doug and Tracey did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and their knowledge of the native bush foods and Aboriginal customs is extensive as we asked lots of questions which they patiently answered, we bought a few items at the shop and will be back for more. The farm tour is very reasonably price and great value for money.

Fifteen total strangers responded to an invitation to participate in a long table dinner under the stars, featuring a menu of Indigenous bush foods within the bushtucker garden last Saturday at the business premises of Native Oz Bushfoods at Ropeley, just over an hour’s drive from Brisbane. We left 3 hours later, a group of newly minted friends parting with warm embraces and a wish to stay in touch. The evening was a testimony to the warm hospitality & effort put in by hosts (and business co-owners) Tracey & Doug Goebel, their son Braydon & his partner Connie.Welcome to the country, the Smoking Ceremony & traditional dance performed by Yugara Dancers complimented the three-course bushfood meal and lively conversation, not forgetting the delightful yarns & tall tales of Bundjalung elder Doug. The entree of emu, crocodile & kangaroo meats seasoned with bush spices was a unique culinary experience, but Connie had also thought about the vegetarians with a special combo of chickpea & vegetables with saltbush and other bush spices. Steaks & grilled trout featured next, all seasoned with Tracey’s blend of bush spices like dukkha, saltbush, and lemon pepper. Topping it all was Kakadu plum cheesecake dusted with strawberry gum accompanied with wattle seed ice cream, a dessert created by Tracey that would be the envy of many a Chef. If your taste buds are tickled and your mouth salivating, check out Tracey’s social media posts for the next long table event. The rising full moon & twinkling stars will be there to join you and your new friends for a truly magical evening.
