One of the worst meals we have ever had. Never been there before and never will return. Ruined my daughters Birthday. The food took forever to come out and when it finally did they had got one of the meals wrong. Tasted like cheap packet food hardly something an Italian would eat. Cost an absolute fortune. Do yourself a favour, eat elsewhere.

I was just passing and popped in for a quick coffee. It was the first weekend and the staff were just settling in but were very friendly. Nice ambience with outdoor seating. Mentone need more places like this. I have to go back for a meal as the menu looked great.

Came here after work for dinner. We got a seat straight away as it was 6pm but I would suggest booking ahead of time as this got busy very quickly. The food was of great taste even though I only ordered a pizza and arrancini balls. The mushrooms were very fresh and aromatic ! Service was quick! Can’t wait to come back and try more off the menu

Used to be amazing, now not so much.The Amatriciana sauce used to be filled with pancetta and had a nice kick of spice to it. Not there’s barely any pancetta and no spice kick at all.The Arancini was a little bland and the texture inside was rather mushy. It almost tasted undercooked.The calamari was tasty, no complaints there.The other pasta we ordered was over cooked and wasn’t seasoned.We did get a free tiramisu but it wasn’t enough to make up for the let down.Probably will not return, which is very disappointing as this was the best Amatriciana sauces we’d had in Melbourne.

Always enjoy our dinner's here. Good traditional Italian fare. Service is quick and good. If you haven't been you won't be disappointed.

Really disappointed. We have eaten here before and get take away all the time. The food quality is good but the service last night was woeful. The meals for our table came out over a 45 minute period. We had people who had finished their meals before others even received theirs. Salad arriving 15 Minutes after the pasta for one of our guests. We had a table of 9 and I understand there can be a small time frame as all the meals arrive, but 45 minutes, Really.?? Reading other reviews it seems this once very good restaurant has been declining of late and my experience last night very much reinforces that. It is a shame as I try to support local businesses but will think twice before returning unfortunately.

The waiter made it appear that some additions to food were free essentially encouraging us to add them without letting us know there was an extra charge. We left 280$ on the restaurant on the day anyway so it’s quite disappointing and rude that the waitress didn’t know the basics.Other than that the food tasted kinda good but nothing exceptional.Save your money go somewhere else and enjoy Italian foodAlso the waiters don’t know how to pronounce anything in Italian when the whole menu uses the Italian names of the dishes.If you work at just Italy you should make the effort to at least know how to pronounce the names of the dishes. I was trying not to laugh.

It's been a long time coming for this iconic address in Mentone. Great looking place; Ample seating all around the building with in and outdoor options; Great bar; Function area upstairs worthy of consideration for my next birthday. Good selection of food. We came for breakfast first time, a little pricey I thought, considering the diversity and competition around.Service a little hit and miss. Reminiscent of a family restaurant in Lygon Street where the mums and dads owners would yell at each other. Some staff are more attentive than others.Coffees are excellent, and customised drink orders spot on.Will try their dinner menus next time, and give it some time to tighten up their service. Overall well done.

We are locals and just love coming here.It is perfect for a quiet one-on-one dinner or for the extended family.The staff are all very friendly, happy and keen to share their knowledge of the menu through recommendations. The pizza has that wonderful crust that many woodfire kitchens strive for but cannot quite pull off. Over our visits we have commented that they have consistently great pizza! The pastas are great too with many options.We feel lucky to have this place in our neighbourhood.

Went there with my family for mother's day and had a great night. I recommend their pizzas, arancini balls and their coctails. Plus my son was the first customer to try their rib eye steak with mushroom sauce and it was cooked to perfection. We'll be coming back.
