I'm a regular traveller on the buses, and I think highly of the quality of the bus service. People who need transport can travel all around Warrnambool, and the staff are friendly. The buses are safe, clean, and there is always room to sit.There are a few comments which I can make, which might assist WBL to make a highest quality as lift of service.* many passengers have additional needs, and, at times, the staff show visible difficulty serving them.I think that drivers and other staff would benefit from training to help and understand people of all kinds of background. I recently observed a driver make an angry or impatient remark to a customer. I didn't see the entire exchange, so didn't report it. The bus drivers will likely provide a better service for these people with some awareness training.*At times, I'm sorry to report that I haven't always felt safe, while a passenger on the bus. This is partly due to the issue of behaviours of passengers.I think this issue might be managed by having a standard of conduct for passengers. I think, also, that a community forum for behaviour issues in our community would be a good idea. We all need to learn about issues people in our community face, and why they have them. Then, we will know how to behave or manage these difficult situations.Also, the bus service often has fewer than five passengers on a route. A community consultation, where people have feedback, was a success last time. Perhaps we need another one, with drivers also giving an idea of places the bus is needed. I understand, for example, that some passengers need to walk for up to four blocks to catch a bus. These places might have a few passengers.Overall, I am pleased with our bus service. The drivers are grateful if passengers indicate that they need the bus to stop.
