Faulty unit was replaced with another faulty unit. 6 months trying to resolve and have been spoken too incredibly poorly when questioning the issues/service, and even hung up on. Should have got a refund when the first unit failed across multiple aspects. All seemed to be software related. Hands free didn’t work, reverse camera not working, keyboard freezing. Thought I’d give them a chance and help test the second new unit that had a software rollback to correct the first unit’s issues, but there was also a design change which removed volume buttons etc from both units (2022). I had to pay for shipping back. Second unit O/S was better but hands free didn’t work, then 2 days later magically worked but then stopped working 2 minutes into the call. Nobody could hear me, sounded like a matrix scramble. This was occurring frequently (working then would stop). When I sent the second unit back, Michael is saying they tested it for a day and there is no issue with it. My install was done as per instructions in a vehicle that has not been butchered. So should work. All signs pointed to the head unit being faulty.Michael of the Victoria office is ill-equipped to be dealing with customers who are simply trying to get a faulty product fixed or fully refunded. Hostile, hung up on me when I pushed back saying how unfair they are being. All dealings have just been incredibly dodgy to say the least. Cale of the Brisbane office was originally who I reached out too trying to get the head unit to work, replies were far and few between and mostly one to 10 word answers. Not much to go on.Have provided video and screenshot evidence and have witnesses to their product being faulty. Still no resolve as they are not providing a full refund. I’ve had to pay for shipping twice to send back the units, bought additional microphone to try and get hands free to work. Had my mechanic neighbour help me test/troubleshoot and see if we can fix the issues together. He called his auto electrician contact who said he’s had experience with these types of units which tend to not have proper noise cancellation hardware or something. Basically ended the call saying it was cheap Chinese made. Everything I experienced echoed this.Trying to leave a voice message? Forget it, message boxes are always full. Better value and service elsewhere. $1200 unit is not worth $100. Thought I’d support an Aussie company who would stand by their product and service. Was incredibly wrong.Update, partial refund provided. All in all I have lost 10% off the purchase price, the original shipping, plus the 2 x shipping to return both products, and 6 months of anxiety dealing with this company. I remain solid on my stance, the products are clear as day faulty. The proper testing has simply not been done on the 8” (marketed as 80 series) double din head unit. Consumers pay the cost to test their products for them. Very disappointing.

I purchased a new ec offroad head unit for my 2021 model Toyota Landcruiser 200 series around 12 months ago and have been very happy with it.However I started to notice that I was having a few problems with it.I contacted Troy at ec offroad in Victoria who helped me through the issues I was having. It was then agreed to remove and send the unit back to hopefully resolve the problems I was having.The guys at ec offroad check it out and thought it would be best to replace the head unit with a complete new unit which was fantastic.The turn around was a few days and now I have a new unit fitted and couldn't be happier.The service and communication with these guys have been great and I strongly recommend purchasing your future gear from these guys.Good job guys keep up the good work.Kind RegardsDaveNorthern Beaches of Sydney.

We purchased a product online from this company and it was not all that is was promised to be. Most disappointedly was their attitude to our request for assistance and later only a partial refund. Would not recommend them.

Had extensive work done on my Y62 and could not be happier with the outcome and level of workmanship and care received by these guys. Any issues, they are always on call to assist and fix if required. The guys did a 4499 GVM upgrade, snorkel, 35inch tyres and wheels, towbar, new entertainment unit, on board air compressor and much more. Highly recommend these guys and the owner Michael as they really know what they’re doing and I’m so grateful for all the work they’ve put into my dream car.

We bought a 10” head unit for our 2016 Toyota 200 Series. Installed it and unit was faulty so had to uninstall and send back. Waited for the replacement unit and installed that. Now not even 24 months in the replacement unit is faulting again. Advised by EC Off-road that the unit is now dead and they then suggested we purchase another unit from them!So disappointed in this product and the lack of after sales assistance with any type of resolution. A complete waste of time, money and effort. I should have just requested a refund from the original Unit and saved myself the stress with dealing with this business. So much for supporting this Australian business. Never again.
