Had a take away coffee and jam doughnut, having mixed feeling about this bakery.The coffee was quite disappointing; it was weak and felt more like drinking milk than coffee. The jam doughnut on the other hand had just the right amount of filling inside to make it not overly sweet. Doughnut was soft and appetising.

Actually, I'm not really a dessert person before, also can't even pronounce some product names accurately. But I love everything here~ I love their balanced flavour, not too sweet for me, patient staff make me feel easy to order. Now I pick the store once a week~

I ordered a large mushroom quiche to pick up on Easter Sunday at Laurent South Yarra. Not only the service wasn’t great but they did not correctly write down my order and when I picked on Sunday, and went to a family function that I noticed it was a quiche loraine instead. I called them to let them know and they were not as receptive as well. It is quite frustrating and hopefully they will improve the service in the future and ensure orders are correctly recorded.

The little dessert delicacies in Laurent are delicious! This store also has a great layout for dining in or takeaway and shopping which I appreciate.The staff were extremely friendly and it was amazing that the coffee was over 20% cheaper than what I usually buy in the Toorak location! I did forget to ask for oat milk, but that will be less than the difference.The chocolates in hot chocolates and mochas simply isn’t good though. I can appreciate the store and what they are doing but the small takeaway coffee sizes and poor tasting dark chocolate in drinks will keep me from buying from here unless I have no other options.

Wow what a miraculous dive this place has taken since reopening. It used to be our favorite cafe. No lactose free milk? And no clean tables. We asked the waitress if she could clean a table for us, she removed a cup, left the rest, didn’t wipe down any of the tables and left. Meanwhile service without a smile, no eye contact and generally a miserable place. A great shame. Where’s the manager?

OK! So if you are looking for some good French delacies, I must suggest this place, but if you are a Melbourne and u know it already. The only thing with this place I didn't like was that it was quite small, very narrow walkways, and made it a bit difficult for a busy cafe and people to navigate.But people don't go there for the narrow walkways and go there for the delicacies!!

As all Laurent's, the quality of food is lovely. Small delicate cakes brimming with rhubarb, crunchy buttery palmiers and petite apple danishes are waiting to be eaten. We also had ham and cheese croissants for a late lunch, but unfortunately by 2.30pm most other choices had been snapped up. I suspect arriving earlier would have provided more variety to us. My husband had a decaf latte and said it was pleasant but bitter. If price is not an issue to you, I recommend its marbelesque surroundings for a nice luncheon. The service was friendly and extremely fast.

Although the cakes at this place is good, I am extremely upset with the customer service. Not only did the waitress completely dismiss me and talk over me when I asked for another fork to share a cake, she looked offended I asked, slamming down the tray at the counter.Honestly expected more.

A friend dropped off some delicious chocolate mousse Laurent cake from her birthday and I was thrilled. This deliciously decadent layered delight is my favourite from this bakery and a guaranteed crowd pleaser
