Located on Darling St, this place is always busy with either people getting takeaway coffee or sitting down to eat. It’s quite a small cafe but very open, tables spill into outside.With a huge mural on the wall, the cafe feels very Balmainy. Service was great, they even offered to deliver our coffees to the Escape Travel i was working from that day.CAESAR SALAD $14.50 Baby cos, crispy trim bacon, free range boiled egg, shaved italian parmesan, traditional caesar dressing & garlic bread. Add grilled marinated chicken / smoked salmon / sauteed prawns $5.00 each - perfectly sized salad, chicken was yummy too!

Good food, good coffee, great service. Very friendly and very nice. The food menu is your usual cafe fare but it is not like any other cafe, obviously they have their own twists on things and how the food is done.Highly recommend the Contessa Corn Cakes.

Love the vibe of this place and food is pretty good here. Love the outdoor sitting area as it’s super dog friendly but it can get abit hectic with the number of dogs there also. Coffee is not bad but I find it’s always served always colder when I eat in vs a takeaway.

Ordered bruschetta with avocado. It was really average! It was really tasteless and plain! Had to add a lot of salt and pepper… the salmon also didn’t have the best quality… maybe I ordered the wrong dish but it wasn’t anything special. I’ve had way better avocado toasts!

The attitude of the manager who was working today was probably one of the best I have seen in any cafe in Sydney. I was initially going to give this place a 1 star review because we waited patiently (given that we saw the signage warning they were short staffed) for 45 minutes for our food only to find out when we asked about our order that the kitchen missed it even though the staff had definitely put it in the queue around the same time as the orders of a big table of 7 next to us who had already been served their food, finished it and left by the time we asked for ours. The manager was so genuine when she apologised and actually seemed really concerned we were going to leave hungry and upset which is something really rare in service these days. She even insisted on giving us the meals for free but when they brought out the food 5 minutes later (they actually can cook pretty quick!) we thought it was made really well and tasted great. Given this and the really genuine attitude of the manager, we insisted on paying for our food and the manager asked if we would at least accept a discount as an apology if we wanted to pay. I will be coming back to this place and was pleasantly surprised how I went from being really upset and annoyed to leaving as an impressed customer. The manager working today (Sunday 9 Oct) is an absolute asset to your business!

This place was buzzing with people when we went on a Saturday! The service was quite good with friendly staff and the meals came quickly too. Would definitely recommend the pasta and the corn fritters/cakes (they were crispy and had a generous amount of avo on it!). Perfect place for a relaxed lunch with a great vibe.

Had breakfast there and it was great!Good customer service and very friendly staff. The food and coffee were Delicious and nicely presented!You have a lot of options in the menu.I didn't know what to choose so I ask the staff member for some recommendations and it was good idea. You can ask any variation if you are not satisfied about the current menu.

Good food, good vibes, amazing coffee.We ordered eggs Benedict- I’ve had betterand Nutella French toast - I expected it to be warm, it was cold when served.Overall it’s a good place, super busy. Might not go here again though.

Very nice cafe. I was warmly welcomed as soon as I set my first foot in the door and was offered a menu as soon as I sat down. In fact the (I think) guy in charge I noticed was very attentive to the comings and goings of people. Very friendly staff. Great coffee. Eggs were perfectly cooked.

I don’t know what’s happened. The food has become so bad recently. Like… why go out to eat disappointment on stale toast. And then the service is non existent. It’s not like the staff are rude, they just clearly don’t want to be there or to help you.
