Warren Museum & Art Gallery

When I entered the Museum and Art gallery, I was definitely not expecting the standard upon which I walked in to. The interior design is just as good, if not better than any other Museum or Art Galley I've ever been to. In terms of the museum side of the place, it definitely does justice to the history of Warren and is very informative. Coming from a year 11 earth and environmental science student, I definitely liked the information I read about salinity, which I have just learnt about in class. Also, coming from an Irving, it was nice to see the recognition of our family within this museum (I did not know our family was that famous). Plus, I absolutely loved the visuals casted on the wall, I could sit and watch that all day, it was absolutely divine film and photography. Oh and I loved how interactive the place is, with its screens and things you can flick through. In terms of the gallery, again the interior design was at a pretty high standard, and the art work I saw there was pretty amazing, I did not know we had so many talented artists that lived locally. The atmosphere of the place as a whole was very warm and welcoming and I cannot wait to see what else this place has in store in the future. Loved it!

A wonderfully high quality facility and a focal point for sharing and recording Warren’s stories. Look forward to seeing it grow.

The interior is on a par with some of the best museums in the cities. The Council has obviously spent some money on fitting it out. The artefacts and their histories are interesting to view and to read and, although small in number, will only increase as benefactors come to the fore. The art gallery is well set out but I noticed was only limited to one local artist; it would be beneficial to invite other artists to display their work just for variety. This would be beneficial for the local art community and the museum.

Awe inspiring experience in Warren. Greatly surprised with the initial visual impact, the good level of information, the helpful and pleasant staff, fascinating exhibits and the ease of learning about the area. Excellent, thank you all.
