Budget Car & Truck Rental Hamilton

Actually one of the worst Rental trucks.. DO NOT GO HERE.We've used rental trucks on the Gold Coast before and had no problem with the staff as well as the truck. Of course though we were silly enough to assume every rental company would provide the same courtesy. We payed for an auto truck that had a hydraulic lifter and hand trolly. We get to Eagle Farm AFTER paying for the car and calling earlier in the week to make sure they had an automatic truck, ONLY to get there and be rudely told off my their stuff they had none available.. Fast forward to having someone around luckily enough to drive a manual, we get to the moving place. We open the truck to get everything started, the Hydraulics lift isn't working and the hand trolly's wheels aren't moving properly. We decide that's life and start heavy lifting everything into the truck ourselves( like the washing machine that weighs over 100kg..) We took a lot longer than expected because of this, but finally we make it back to Eagle Farm, after refuelling up TO THE TOP. Literally a couple of minutes away from the place, we are told It wasn't filled up enough and we had to wait an extra hour for them to go through paperwork (WE HAD ALREADY FILED OUT) . The stuff were inexperienced, rude, just sitting around doing nothing for the whole hour we were there just twiddling their thumbs. I understand working at a rental company isn't the high life, but don't treat your customers like their animals and have done something wrong when YOUR products are faulty/unusable .It was the worst day to move because of this shity company who we paid good money for, to use a dodgy vehicle and machinery that doesn't even work. I WILL be telling anyone/everyone that your staff/vehicle's and just overall work ethic is appalling and mundane.

Amazing team, super efficient and absolutely wonderful customer service!Very honest also, you know upfront what you pay for and they made no problem when I gave back the car.They were super flexible and available.I will continue to rent from them in the future.

Lift on back does NOT come included in rental cost. YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TO USE SOMETHING THAT IS ON THE VEHICLE that I have never had to pay to use before. This was not advised at the start and I had to go back to there and they still charged me. Lost a repeat customer. So not only did it cost me time and fuel to go back they still had the nerve to charge me. Never using them again. Customer service goes a long way.

Was very pleased with a recent hire of a minibus for an important event. Am also super grateful to Siobhan, Amy and Dylan for the return of some lost property we left behind. Many thanks team! :)

We recently rented a car from Budget Hamilton as it was the best price at the time due to a very expensive Christmas period after borders reopened. It was a short, easy and cheap taxi ride from the Brisbane Airport. Despite this slight inconvenience to get there, it was well worth it for the exemplary service we received from the moment we picked up the car and throughout the rental period and having to extend the contract multiple times due to the uncertainty of being able to return to Victoria when borders were closed again due to Covid Lockdown. It's been a very challenging holiday and it's always difficult trying to change flights/accommodation/hire car but Budget Hamilton have been the easiest and friendliest to deal with. It may have been our first time renting through Budget Hamilton, but it won't be the last. Thank you!

Avoid! Same experience as everyone has mentioned below. Was charged for additional fuel despite refueling to the brim before returning. Was not informed of the charge when returning the truck or any time after, was just applied to my credit card a week after the booking. Charged was reversed after calling to question this. Extra charge to have the hydraulic lift on moving trucks turned on, despite all trucks being advertised as having hydraulic lift. Would never rent from them again after this experience.

Very convenient, perfect and quick service, good car and well priced. It’s not at the airport, but that makes it cheaper and they call a taxi for you if you want. Highly recommended.

Rip off. Returned truck full of diesel, yet they charged me $20 in fuel charges. These guys are scammers. No customer service to get my money back. Don't ever use. You have lost me as a customer for life!
