Smoothwaters Kayak Hire

We had the BEST day ever thanks to Smooth Water Kayak hire. We hired a double kayak and a SUP board for my husband, myself and our 7 year old daughter.Mike has excellent customer service skills and was very helpful and kind. From the time we booked on the phone (an hour before coming), Mike was patient, cheerful, very polite, gave us ideas on what to do, where to go, where to stop and best way for the tide. Mike took time to explain everything to us so nicely and patiently- we have never come across such exemplary customer service skills in Australia. My husband was new to the whole SUP board and Mike took the time to explain how to manoeuvre the board and even allowed us an extra few hours free of charge :). Oh did I mention, he even gave us his gardener watch for timekeeping purposes as we didn't want to take our phones along- such a lovely gesture.The equipment was great quality, easy to use and Mike was just fantastic helping us down to the creek with everything.Would definitely recommend this business and have already told all my friends. We will be back very soon thanks to your lovely attitude and great service :) Keep up the good work Mike :)PS- the river was fabulous too! :)

It was a nice experience to kanoing here. And we're very lucky can meet the joyful sir here. Surely we'll come again if we visit Brisbane.

We popped in without making a reso and the owners were more than happy to accommodate. Very easy going and friendly service, the owners have a good knowledge of the area and were able to give us a route to follow. Had a lovely afternoon. Make sure you time the rides correctly unless you’re keen for a bit of a work out. Will definitely come back here for a paddle.

Very helpful and service minded. A pleasure to deal with. All equipment was provided with the kayak and they gave helpful hints and suggestions for a suitable route. Both me and my 8 year old daughter loved it.Keep an eye out for their sign as you get closet and call them when you approach the gate!

Super friendly service. Was easy to call up and book. Initially wanted to hire two single kayaks but changed our minds and went with a double kayak - no dramas. Went during high tide so were advised to paddle upstream so that it would be less laborious for us to come back. Nice location. Owner advised if we wanted to go down stream toward Burleigh national park then to come just after low tide. I accidentally left my watch in the dry box on the kayak, phoned up, and swung by an hour later to pick it up. I’m so grateful thank you for finding it!

Been twice now and Mike is a lovely fellow. Very friendly and helpful. He even upgraded my kayak on my first visit as I had a terribly bad back.Secure parking and a lovely stretch of river to explore

The owners are great. The experience was excellent and very affordable. I was on the fence about going at the end of a long day but it was actually the perfect way to wind down - not hard at all.The kayaks and life jackets we were given were clean and dry. Once we got back they were immediately washed down while we packed up to go.
