Elaine Cemetery

Elaine is on the land of Wadawurrung traditional owners.There is a lot of information about this cemetery on the website, it was established in 1982 and serves the nearby Serbian Orthodox monastery and wider community. It is a very well kept modern facility with plenty of parking out front. It is on flat ground with wide paved pathways so will be easy for people with limited mobility to access. There is seating around the yard, shade, drinking water, toilets and an indoor seated shelter. The only thing to note for visitors is the location listed on the website, and currently on Google maps, is incorrect. It shows the road, but not the actual location as the address is simply Horsehill Road with no number. The cemetery is 3.2km further south on Horsehill Road and is clearly visible on the satellite photo.
