Having Janine support our family after the birth of my son a few months ago made our life so much easier. We don’t have much family support so having Janine come each week to help out was amazing. Her warm, gentle and nurturing nature was exactly what I needed after going through a tough birth.

Getting a doula was one of the best investments we ever made and I wish I'd done it for my first child's birth. Janine at Blossom Doula Care was fantastic. Even hubby and my other child were certain she was the perfect match for us at our first meeting. Janine came across very caring and calm from the get go and that level of genuine care, knowledge and support continued right through to the birth and afterwards. The reassurance she gave us at each stage of the pregnancy, birth and the post natal experience, was worth every moment. We couldn't have done it without her. Thankyou Janine!

Janine is everything you need when you get home with your newborn. Both my husband and I are from the uk and don’t have any family support in AUS so when We met Janine and instantly knew we needed her, I relied on Janine to be my sounding board with birth requests, and Janine supported us with creating our birth plan.Janine’s visits were so amazing as after care, offering solutions and help to every problem we faced.I would highly recommend Janine to every new parent.

We had the most special experience with Janine as our doula. Janine was our pre and post partum dolua and guided us through the process so gently each step of the way when we had questions or decisions. Janine is a gorgeous person and it was so comforting to have her throughout our pregnancy and new born journey. In the new born phase it was like having a really knowledgeable friend drop in and just chat through topical things that were on our mind in the early days and give support and reassurance. We also loved that Janine had a medical background pre becoming a doula and able to look at situations from a more holistic view. Highly recommend

Where do I begin with Janine from Blossom Doula Care? Janine was sent to me by a friend during the height of COVID lockdown when my first baby was about three months old. I was suffering terribly from post natal anxiety and struggling to leave the house due to a combination of anxiety, fear of COVID and a baby who hated all forms of transport (and screamed the whole time we went anywhere, which was incredibly triggering at the time). I also didn’t have a mothers group or any people nearby that I could lean on due to lockdown travel restrictions. In walked this angel, Janine, who has the most incredibly calming and kind nature and she instantly put me at ease. Over the next three months, we worked on everything from getting my baby and I out of the house for walks, feeding solutions when my baby wasn’t loving her milk to providing simple reassurance that I was on the right track with things. I looked forward to her visits every week and I miss her to this day. I cannot recommend her and her services enough.

Our little family could not have been better prepared for our new arrival without Janine. Her knowledge on ALL THINGS newborn helped us prepare as best we could, including setting up a fun session with our 12 year old on changing nappies, things to expect, baby proofing the house, swaddling... the list seemed endless but totally manageable once Janine joined our support crew! A calming support, a fountain of knowledge, an impromptu (and very welcome) check in, a sounding board, a guardian... no matter the level or type of post natal support Janine has it covered. If only we could have brought her with us to WA!

Janine has been an amazing support of us in our post-birth journey.Janine kept in touch with us before the birth and made sure she was available for us as soon as we came home from the hospital.With both in person visits and the supportive responses to those late night first time mum text messages.Janine has such extensive knowledge and network for first time mums. This was invaluable for us.She has such a caring attentive nature, and such a calming presence.Our little boy loved his time with Janine.With both our families overseas, I honestly don’t know how we would have survived the fourth trimester during lockdown without Janine!I have recommended her to all the pregnant ladies I know!Wish I could rate 10 stars!

As an anxious person, I can’t believe how lucky I was to find Janine and have her as my birth doula. I felt an instant connection with her during our first phone call which made my choice to use her incredibly easy.She fielded texts and calls as my due date came and went, with constant reassurance that I was safe and everything would happen in its own time.When labour finally started, Janine was there with all her calming techniques to help me keep my cool. Acupressure points, massage, different positions, kind words, essential oils… all the good stuff.My birth experience took some very unexpected turns but Janine provided the most incredible support throughout the whole thing, keeping myself and my partner calm. When things finally came to a head, after trying for a natural labour for 18 hours and finally requiring an unplanned c-section, I was told I could only have one support person with me. I’m not going to lie… I was very tempted to ditch my husband as I knew Janine would provide such great support. It turned out that I was not the only one who was impressed by Janine, as the hospital staff were enamoured by her, her knowledge and demeanour and allowed me to bring her with me into the operating room.I am so grateful that I could do this as I faced some complications in the surgery as well. When our little boy arrived, my husband was able to meet and spend time with our son while Janine stayed by my side the whole time keeping me calm and reassuring me I was safe.Now that our boy is home with us, Janine has continued to be of great help, only just a text away and always happy to answer all my questions.I am so glad she is part of our story and part of our life.

We were not sure at first if we really needed a post partum doula but quickly after meeting Janine we realised it was a great decision.Being first time parents and in lockdown Sydney with no parents to support us, we were filled with anxiety about coming home with our baby. Do we have the right clothes? The right bath? Will we know how to bath her? Will I know how to breastfeed? Those were just some of the questions we had in mind.Janine's gentle approach to things makes you feel calm and comforted. She taught us all the necessary small things, but most importantly gave us reassurance that we were on the right path and she was (still is) always there for any silly question" we might have.We highly recommend Janine

From the moment Janine stepped into our door I know that we were in good hands. Both, my partner and myself, approached parenthood and birth with much more confidence than we had imagined. Janine’s nurturing and calming way as well as her experience is what I craved during labour and the first days post partum. Her knowledge and listening ear was just as important to us. No problem was too big or too small, she is excellent in finding a creative solution that suits your parenting and labour wish and also knows so many many professionals that can support you. E.g. osteopath, pelvic floor specialist. We heard so many times that you need a village to raise a child, but it was only after birth that we realised that you also need a village to nurture a postpartum mother and support a father. We are beyond grateful that Janine was part of our village and birthing team and has supported us with guidance and confidence in our decisions.
