I found Charles’ art while I was in Sorrento visiting from interstate, and it was love at first sight! Charles in an incredibly talented artist, whose work is flawless. I have brought my first piece, and it won’t be my last! The newspaper background drew my attention, with original moon landing articles. Charles has found an amazing way to create and ever lasting piece of history mixed with his stunning pin-up girl’s. I can’t rate Charles high enough - 5 stars isn’t enough. Over 12 months ago, myself and my partner took a trip to Sorrento and walking past a gallery I looked in and saw the incredible artwork I later discovered belonged to Charles Wilcox. I contacted Charles recently as I had a very specific commission request for a female portrait piece relating to the WW2 Womans Land Army. Charles replied very promptly and happily agreed to create the piece I had requested while also sourcing the relevant vintage newspaper articles for the piece. The end result was perfect and exactly what I had in my mind, the detail is fantastic, the expression is spot on and the piece symbolises the essence of the amazing effort and hard work of woman during this difficult time in our history. Charles is one of the most genuine people I have met and I look forward to thanking him in person for this unbelievable artwork.

I first came across Charles' work a couple of years ago and especially liked his newspaper girl series. I wasn't in a position to purchase at the time but more recently re-connected with his work through instagram and discovered a new series. Cayman Islands was the one for us and I am delighted that she is now hanging in our home! Thank you Charles for your communication, service and especially the talented art work which is even better in the flesh, so to speak, than the online images! Good luck with the new gallery. I first saw Charles' art while searching for something to go in our new home. His work immediately caught our eye with the vibrant contrast of colour but I really enjoyed the uniqueness of each piece being painted on original vintage news print.We commissioned a piece from Charles who called me very promptly after I submitted an inquiry through his website. Charles was very helpful and was able to source news print clippings based on a specific event that I had requested making the piece even more unique.All up it took Charles about 1 month to get the piece completed, framed and shipped to us. Considering this was all organised during COVID, I was very impressed. Equally impressive and appreciated was Charles' communication throughout the process and obvious interest in our satisfaction with his work.The quality of Charles' work is excellent and I would highly recommend contacting him if you are looking for something special.Thanks again Charles.
