Lalor Primary School

I really love this school. All the staff at this school are very friendly, helpful and kind. The Principal is always happy and so are the staff, and this is very important. They understand the kids and parents very well. They respect and understand the parents different backgrounds. In my own community, Lalor Primary School is held very high, and parents are very happy with the learning and teaching of their children. My children are very happy here and always excited to talk about what happened in their day. They have done an excellent job with remote learning - checking in with my children every day and making sure that their learning hasn't slowed down in any way. I wish my children could stay here forever.

Lalor Primary is a community with a warm and friendly vibe. Everyone who visits the school comments on the friendly atomosphere and the strong sense of community. Staff, students and families work together with the shared goal of supporting all students to become confident, positive citizens with a love for learning. Lalor Primary is a wonderful place to learn!

I'm both an educator and parent at Lalor Primary School. This school is a supportive place to work and fantastic environment to learn. Lalor Primary School supports students to develop academically, whilst gaining the love of learning. There is a strong emphasis on well-being for all community members at Lalor, and that is of utmost importance to me.

As an educator myself finding the right school for my boys was no easy task. Being highly critical and looking for a school that matched our family’s values in growing as learners was a key priority, and we found it at Lalor Primary School. My boys are currently in Grade 2 and 4 have grown and thrived as individuals with each year. Communication with teachers and staff at Lalor Primary is always understanding and considerate and this is important to me, and every parent when queries or concerns are made. There are opportunities for students to lead and share in growth. There is a focus on teaching core skills and creating good foundations to enable life-long learning, and as a high school teacher myself, this is important in future years. My boys have different learning needs and strengths, and this has been met and nurtured every step of the way. The grounds continue to be improved each year giving so much wonderful space for the kids to play and interact with each other. There is even a school vegetable garden with chickens where students participate in its growth and incorporate into their learning, which was created by parents and supported by the school. Science and Creative Arts Expos, cultural food days and many other community minded events makes this school really inclusive of its students and families. A great little school with a big heart. Would highly recommend Lalor Primary School.

This is an amazing school. The school grounds are large and very inviting. The large vegetable garden allows all children to learn basic life skills which is very important. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help each child. The school offers a large range of learning programs and it is clear children really love coming to school each day.

As an author and speaker I work with schools all over Australia and around the world and Lalor is a little gem of a school that stands up by any measure. Schools aren't facilities, they are communities made of individuals. The team at Lalor are relentless in their drive to create the best learning experiences possible. Rarely do I see a learning community so selflessly dedicated to doing what's best for learners.

PLEASE, VICTORIAN GOVERNMENTWhat a Fantastic Little School Lalor Primary is. The Teachers are Amazing. The Students love going to School. The School has very well planned capabilities to ensure any child of any needs will excel. There program learning is classroom, though every child is individual based so if your child is advanced they will keep advancing. If your child needs extra mentoring be well assured there needs will be met. Every child is treated as an individual and the Principal knows every child's name and never fails to address each child whenever approached. The assistant Principal is very caring and thoughtful and absolutely supportive of not only the students but there families health and well-being. Meet Debra at the front Desk and you will always be greeted with a smile and taking care of in every proffessional manner. All the Teachers know and understand there students capabilities and are always happy each day to see there students turning up on time and ready to begin a new day so they can help them to excel and learn lots more in a fun and proactive way. Teachers aids are always going above and beyond. Everyone needs a right hand man or women and they are definitely Right. Sports Teachers are very capable at defining your child's health and fitness structures and programs are all round based aswell having extra school sports activities and are very encouraging for even the Not so sporty" children wanting to get involved and having fun whilst getting fit.All teachers from Music to Arts don't just choose what they know they program for what everyone loves and that is what keeps all the students involved and knowing that they are a part of a school not just a number
