In my two years+ at United For Care, I have witnessed the remarkable success of the Vertical Village model for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). It has exceeded my expectations, and I feel privileged to be part of their journey, witnessing the profound positive impact they have on individuals with disabilities.United for Care stands out with their exceptional support, inclusive community, strong team culture, and innovative sector leadership. They are reimagining the future of disability care and striving to set visionary new standards in the industry.

Very helpful team members.I called with a few questions and they were very happy to take their time to explain things to me. I spoke to 2 different people and they were both very kind to me and listened.

Sadly the work culture needs a revamp. A very toxic environment to work in (especially the Wollongong region). People aren't given equal opportunities and the discrimination that exist there is far too obvious. Hypocritical staff members and a management who plays favourites above priotising client's needs. The company is growing really fast and with good intentions, but the quality of carers being recruited lately is abysmal. It is sad to see that those who do the job aren't given the recognition due based on the colour of their skin, rather the management only recognises eye-service and busy-bodies who do nothing but meddle and pry in other people's business. My heart goes out to the lovely clients whose care are being neglected daily due to the ongoing politics and power-play that has become a part of UFC.My advice to the top management is to priotise client's care above profit. It is not enough to bring clients in; staff should be trained and empowered to provide person-centered care. Adequate staffing should also be provided and the most vulnerable clients (especially those whose families are not in your faces) should be adequately advocated for rather than being neglected and taken for granted!
