Big thanks to the lovely ladies at hair Afrique I needed some braids/a wig installed for a”Comic-Con and they happily accommodated me today and very fast at what they do :) super pleased with how it turned out will be back next week for some braided wefts :)

I have been coming to hair Afrique for the last few years and cannot recommend them highly enough. Great quality hair extensions and all the ladies are friendly. Vera and Laura are amazing.

Do not attend this hairdresser, I had a terrible experience. I went to get full head African weave with extensions sewn in. braiding and walked out crying. My braids had pulled all my hair and I looked bald from the front and bald spots where the braids had been pulled. No natural hair was left out and it looked all wrong. My braids were showing and very obvious as the hair extensions were not properly covered. The hairdresser then gave me the hair straighter to finish my own hair and straighten all the natural hair I had on top. It was all a mess. The braids were pulled so tight that I had a permanent throbbing headache and sores from it pulling on my head. I came in with my extensions covering my hair perfectly and then they were carelessly chopped up and placed around my hair. It was acknowledged that my hair was not done correctly. When I tried to book in to fix it there was no availability at all on Saturday, and when I offered to take time out of my day from work they cancelled 15 mins before. It had been two weeks of trying to book and my headache was getting worse and my sores were getting worse. I was forced to go lose where and pay again to get it fixed. When I asked for a refund for the $250 I had paid, which they wanted which is very expensive, I have been stringed on for 4 weeks. Conversations over the phone, then told to come in which I did, to then be told someone will call you which they never did. I then followed up and was told that tho one can get a response from the owner. This is a terrible terrible experience I have had, left me with bald patches, butchered hair extensions and the time travelling there and back, time to get my hair done, time trying to talk to someone on the phone and trauma of the experience not to mention my money that they have refused to give back. Very unhappy customer, this is not how a person who comes for a service should be treated.

The most friendly and professional staff, highly skilled & I was most pleased with my cornrows,. My first experience was at another establishment with poor quality & double this price. They have been in business for 20 years, a true quality family owned business You won't be disappointed.Also alarge range of products available.

Very good cornrow braids with extensions, lasted me twice as long compared to my last braids

Jeannette is absolutely brilliant! Her hair skills are outstanding as she is an expert in everything from hair extensions, hair straightening and even keratin treatments. All the staff is highly professional in every component in hairdressing. They can recommend exactly what you need that will enhance your hair to a higher level! The salon is also immaculately clean and there is always upbeat music playing in the background adding to the positive atmosphere.I’ve been a loyal customer for over 5 years and will continue my relationship at Hair Afrique as there is no better salon with such expertise.
